Is it worth bringing pins to trade?

My kids love pin trading, almost more than rides. Are the trades still happening in limited location using the boards? If so, I'm wondering if it's worth hauling the pins around every day. Thoughts?

My wife found four or five pins on various pin boards at WDW in June. Were they amazing pins? No, but they were pins she wanted and wasn't able to find otherwise.

It's no where close to what it was, they have a few locations scattered around. Trading at the resorts are way more fruitful then the parks right now. We went in May and I think we traded 15 pins in just over a week... before the changes we would do like 9-12 a day.

Any rumors about when they might start it back up as more than just pin boards? My DD and I love doing it and it is one of my time killers when my DD and DH are on the rides that I don't do. Really hope it gets going again by January.

If you have time, it doesn't hurt, but I wouldn't waste a lot of time doing this.

I would say, there are very large pin boards at CBR and Poly when they bring them out. We caught it once last stay and I asked them how often they brought it out, the CM said it depends on how busy it was and if there was a free CM. So that's fun.

Bring pins. My DW and DD traded with the boards when there were pins that caught their fancy. My DD also traded with another guest (or two).

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I'll suggest they bring a few they are willing to trade instead of their lanyards.

We just got back and my 10-year old daughter enjoyed finding the pin trading locations scattered throughout the parks. There is a large board at GF which we discovered on our last day. Also, she encountered 5-10 other pin traders at various boards and they pin traded among themselves. DD has lanyards full of pins, but I only brought one along. I heard about my "poor choice" the entire time we were there!

Definitely still bring it. There are plenty of boards, including some huge ones at main pin locations and certain resorts.

I'd bring pins! The pin boards have starting showing back up. I stopped wearing a lanyard a while back, they're just bulky honestly. I usually keep a few pins on whatever bag I have for the day.

I think so. I wear my pins to the park and was approached by some kids to trade. It was fun and I put them on my lanyard to trade. I got a cool Kermit pin out of it too. I let the kids pick. Also there are still pin trading areas set up. You just have to catch them.

There was a good size on in front of the epcot pin store. And I saw them at other places.
