Is it true that the new rollercoaster Expedition Everest is not opening until April 7th? I am going to WDW in 10 days and was very shocked and dissapointed to hear this.

The "official" opening date for the press release is in early April but as I have heard so far the ride has been pretty much open except in rain. JUst be aware that it can change anytime but you should be able to ride it.

It's in what is called a "soft opening." Odds are very good that you can ride it, but there's always the chance that it'll be closed for any sort of technical problem, etc. How this differs from any other ride breakdown/technical glitch I don't know, but you may be able to experience the Yeti with a little luck... Additionally, people have reported that seeing the yeti from the front row is totally wicked!

Loved it!! It was running all 10 days that we were there.
