I am so far behind. Good thing I am going on a work trip next week. Maybe I can cath up on a few things in the evening.

Wow! Are you ever at home? :lmao: Sounds like you live out of suitcases more often than your home!

I am home about 2/3 rds of the time. :goodvibes

I am going to Orlando this month, next month, and will be there in November and December but only October is for WDW. The rest are work and at conferences. :sad2:

That's frustrating! :headache:

So to bring this back to the AKL, in just over two weeks I will be able to call and switch my reservations from SSR to Kidani hopefully! The funny thing is I will be at DLR when I make the call! :rotfl2:

We're pretty obvious, Fran is most always riding a scooter. Wednesday I will be wearing a Dirndl (German Dress) if my weight loss goes as hoped, however not looking good for now. :sad1: Over the weekend we will probably both have our scooters and be wearing red.

I shall look out for you. I do actually know what a Dirndl is. I live in the UK now and I am married to an English guy, but I am actually German and lived in Germany until I was 21. Then I came to the UK for one year as part of my studies and 15 years later, I am still here and consider the UK to be my home.

That's great! I hope you enjoy your trip out here! I've never been to the UK, but I've been to Germany and it was beautiful and I loved the Food & Wine! Hopefully the weather will be perfect! I have two other friends crusing on the Wonder in the next three months, and I'm trying to convince my partner to sign us up for a cruise as well. I will love to hear about how your trip goes! The weather in California should be great by then, it was a little warm last week, but right now the temperatures are great.

For five weeks I've been crash dieting to no success, next week I'll try the dress on again and see if it fits, perhaps Europeans don't have Pooh sized people out there!

Well, when you meet me, you will see that there are definitely Pooh sized Germans.

I can't wait to come back to California. We have been three times before, but this has gone on the back burner once we bought into DVC. I am so glad that I can now use my points at Disneyland. We had a one day whistle-stop tour to Santa Monica and La Brea Tar Pits when we came off the Wonder after the Panama Canal Cruise, but that hardly counts. I could not believe how hot it was in January.

You were on that cruise too???? I had at least two other DIS friends that were on that cruise! How nice that must have been. I guess it was warm in January. I'm not sure that I have had to get my jacket out of the closet in about a year and a half, so you're right. We have had unseasonably mild temperatures with the exception of last Sept 19 where it was 119 degrees in Hollywood! :scared1:

Well I am counting down to that week, I can't wait to spend a few days immersed in Disney!

Yes, we did the Panama Canal cruise and it was absolutely amazing. It will be nice to see two of the ports that we did on that cruise again. And I could not agree more that it will be great to be immersed in all things Disney for a while.

I know it is not AKL, but as GC is a sister hotel to AKL, I think we will feel right at home even if there are no animals or zebra domes to be had. Graham really loves Wilderness Lodge as well, so I hope that he will enjoy his stay at GC.

:cool1::thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Fingers crossed you get the ressies you want.

There aren't any signature treats at the GC, but if you have a Paradise Pier view that is very magical pixiedust: I see it on my computer desktop every day and it makes me homesick!

JC doesn't have the right "ring" to it... I went back and fixed it. It has been a heckuva day. We made the decision to have our beloved 15 yr old dog put to sleep. It will take place tomorrow night and I am already regretting the decision. :(

Elin, I'm so sorry to hear this. :sad2: It must be so hard to lose one of your family.

I really want a scrollie tag and am willing to beg for it.

Please! Please! Please! Please! Please!

Good morning Jamborinis and Kidanites! :)

Tori had her phone interview for the Disney College Program yesterday and feels it went very well! :woohoo:

Since one of her interests is "entertainment" she has an audition Oct 15th at an ATL dance studio! (I believe the category is "character performance".) The interviewer told Tori she would also be considered for other non-performing positions -- so it's not do-or-die at the audition! (phew!)

I'm just glad the audition isn't until after my Food & Wine trip because there's no way I would miss being there for my daughter! :cloud9:

Best wishes for Tori. DD is part of the College Program now (quick service food) but I learned so much about Disney in the three weeks she has been there. The biggest advice is to smile and be very outgoing. The personality is very very important.

OH NO - I've learned my lesson good!!! :)

Sorry to hear that. We lost our baby in May and I miss her terribly.

Thanks, I appreciate your input! :goodvibes I hope your DD has a fabulous experience. How long is she scheduled to be there?

Tori was a "theater kid" for 4 years in high school and is very outgoing! :thumbsup2

If the time is right for her to have this opportunity, I have faith it shall happen! :goodvibes
