Is it too late?

I'm thinking of a spur of the moment trip to take my daughter to WDW during her spring break. Since dad is stationed overseas, it would just be the two of us. Do you think it's too late to plan something like this? Have any of you ever taken the kids w/o another adult? Pros? Cons?

I take my daughters, 11 and 16, all the time, since I am a single mom. Don't know how old your daughter is, but it's a wonderful family time. As far as the timing, I don't know if any hotels still have availability or not, but it never hurts to call or check on-line! Good Luck!!

Thanks! My DD is 9. I'm a bit worried that she'll be bored with *just* mom along . OTOH, there was quite a bit she wanted to do last time that we didn't do, since we were there with 2 grandmas, a grandpa, my DH and his 13yo brother. Hmmmm....

Well there ya go! Make this trip about Mommy & Me! Ask for her input on planning out the days. Ask her what attractions she wants to visit. I am sure she won't be bored. Make it special, and I am sure it will help take her mind off your husband!

I think you would have a great time...but when is her spring break...if it is near easter...you can forget it there isn't any rooms avail....Other weeks in April you might have a better chance...
