Is it too late to try and add the dining plan to our trip?

Ok so we leave to WDW in 12 days and have noticed that it is probably a better deal for us to do the dining plan. Is it to late to add this to our trip? How can I find out? Is there a number I can call. All this Disney stuff is so new to us and we only booked our trip 4 weeks ago. Thanks for your help.

They have told me that I can add it up to like 5 days before arrival. Call 800-828-0228

Definitely make your ADR before you add the DDP. If you pay for the DDP, than dont get into enough TS to use your credits, it takes away from the value of the plan, and I bet can be frustrating

I agree call the 800# and make ADR for table service then add the DDP. It will lead to less frustration.

it was no problem at all. I was undecided for awhile and once I made all our ressies I realized DDP was the way to go. I was told you can add DDP up to 24 hours before your arrival date. Good luck!:cheer2:

One problem I had with trying to add the DDP at a later date: I had originally booked my package on a code. By the time I decided to add DDP, the booking window for code I booked with had expired. The only way to add the DDP was to cancel my discounted package and rebook at regular package rates (there was no code available at that time). It would have cost me double what I originally paid! So I obviously chose not to add the DDP at that time. Yes, I ended up spending more money on food than if I would have included the DDP from the beginning, but it was still a ton less than if I had had to rebook once my code expired.

Long story short: IF you booked on a code, call Disney and ask about adding the DDP, it may end up costing you a lot more depending on your unique situation. It never hurts to ask!

Thanks for the help everyone. I called and added the dining package this morning with no problem. We already had 5 ADR's so we felt it was going to be a better value with the dining package. Plus now we added 3 more great dining spots. 12 more days to go!!!

Thanks again! Roxanne :cheer2:
