Is it too late to plan for a July trip?

My daughter and I would like to visit DLR and Southern California in July. We are coming from Arkansas and would be flying. I'm a big planner, but this is kind of last minute...

You absolutely have time! Disneyland is much easier to plan "on the fly" than WDW. We found out we have an opportunity to go in July (found out about a week ago) and still have plenty of time. I would definitely take care of lodging right away though, as I am sure rooms are filling up.

Last minute?...last minute would be a trip on Tuesday of next week like I am trying to put together!

What is stopping you?...just check airfare rates and hotel availability and unless you are going over 4th of July you should not have a problem.

Start your airfare search on Kayak.com and Southwest.com to see what going rates are.

Not at all! Planning a trip to DLR is nothing like planning a trip to WDW. It takes very little planning for DLR. Dining reservations are only 60 days out-and don't book up fast. There is no annoying FP+ booking 60 days out. All you have to do is a little research on the dis to figure out which rides you should hit first crowd wise, and the best ways to fit in any evening entertainment you want without huge waits- and if you want to do any event dining/dessert packages you want to try to book those ASAP if booking is open and you are set! Book it and have a great time!!!

It's never too late! You have plenty of time. You can make dining reservations 60 days out. There are still hotels available.

Thank you all so much!! I'm getting excited just reading your responses :)

Never too late. The only major thing is that hotel rates are lower when you look further out. Otherwise in many ways it's easier to plan closer to the trip. Your park hours and show schedules aren't up until 4-6 weeks before your trip. And dining reservations can't be made more than 60 days out.

We just booked for mid-july yesterday. a whole week. no problem at all :)

I know it seems crazy but you have plenty of time. We are going the first week of July and besides our hotel reservation everything else is still up in the air for us. Hoping to lock in flights over the next few days!
