Hey everyone!

I am new here. I have wanted to do the Disney Career Start Program since I was in High School but I couldn't do it because I was underage when I graduated from my High School. Now that I am in College, I found about this program for College students and I couldn't be more excited. I am seriously, reading all the threads and message boards. I have a phone interview next week, but my question is did I apply too late for the Spring 2010 or are there still opportunities for me to get in. I am so excited!!! I really feel that I will be there.

Thank you all for your help

There's definitely still time. we're about half way through the recruiting season. Everyone on here has already done the process because we obsess and we all did it the first day you were able to. Recruiting goes until later November.

Best of luck! What roles are you applying for?

I checked almost every role, but the ones that I am most interested in is Attractions, Vacation Planner, PhotoPass Photographer, and Character Attendant. Any advice on questions that I might be asked and which ones have the most spots? The one that I would love the most is PhotoPass Photographers, I am a freelance photographer and photography is one of my biggest hobbies. Thank you for your help!!!

Well lucky you, I was accepted as a Photopass Photographer for Spring 2010!

They just generally ask you about your experience with photography. Focus on what you do know, don't say things like "Ive never taken a professional class" or anything like that, unless they straight out ask you. If you get past that question, they'll explain that photopass is partly taking photos and partly running the photopass kiosks. I was asked how I would upsell the photopass idea and merchandise (the merch are things like mugs, tshirts, calendars etc with your photopass pictures on there). If you use a DSLR already, proactively mention that when you begin talking about your photography experience as thats a huge plus, although you will be trained on the cameras when you go through training. Photopass is very competitive so maybe make a list of the types of photography experience you have so you dont forget to mention anything.

OMG! You are so lucky!!!!!!! I hope I am able to get this role, Although just the simple fact of getting accepted would be more than enough for me to go crazy excited. lol. Do you know which positions are generally the least competitive? Thank you so much for all of your help...

I feel super lucky! I'm so excited!

I would say the easier positions to get are quick service food and beverage (QSFB) and custodial. Then maybe attractions because there are so many. Maybe Merchandise. After that, hospitality takes a lot of people but you generally need good customer service experience. Idk for sure, this is just the way ive heard it.
