I'm trying to help my neighbor who has made last minute trip plans for her family. They have airfare and timeshare (Marriott) booked, but nothing else!:scared1:

I figure that they've got to eat, and would like to help her plan - - but am worried there won't be any reservations left. Do you think it's too late for her for dining in Disney restaurants? Any advice for last minute planning? Once she knows which parks on which days I want to just start calling disney dining for her to see what's left. . .

She's got some wonderful qualities, but planning is not at the top of the list. ;)

Thanks!!

The only way you'll know is if you start calling.

My guess would be "no" though.

We'll be there Christmas week also. I made my ADRs on June 23.

You are a great friend for offering to help her out. Hope they have fun!!

I think it would depend on where she wants to eat. I was able to book Tony's for Dec 20th just the other day. I cancelled 1900 Park fare.

So there is a chance. Especially since people change and cancel all the time.

I've done a last minute Christmas week trip in the past and was able to get ADRs. We will be there 12/18 - 12/25 this year and I have been rearranging a few things and have picked up a few things in the last week. You probably won't be able to get the most popular locations (Chef Mickey's, Princess meals, LeCellier etc.) unless they are willing to dine at very odd times but that doesn't mean there will be NOTHING available. It doesn't hurt to keep calling back and checking for cancellations either. Once you are there, keep checking with guest services or at restaurants during your trip...last minute changes happen too.

Like other said recommend less popular but decent locations to try... Yachtclub Galley, Trails End, Biergarten, Marrakesh, and Nine Dragons.

We recently had to make a change an ADR for our upcoming December trip and to my surprise we were able to get in at Garden Grill for lunch.

DD19 just decided to visit a friend on the College Program Dec 16-20. I just got off the phone, only trying to get the 1900 Park Fare dinner and it was totally booked. :sad2:

But I was able to get Chef Mickeys for dinner on the 16th.

I'm just going to do my best to help w/ ressies. . . but I myself am a planner, and don't really know what advice to give her b/c she sees her family being pretty laid back about getting up and to the parks. Maybe my best help will be to convince her that it will be wall to wall people, and she needs to get to the parks when they open (or stay til closing).
