I would like to plan a trip to Vero Beach in July or August of '08 but was wondering if it is just too hot to enjoy the beach or pool at that time of the year ? Are the nights cool enough to be out? I have been to WDW in September, and wonder if the summer at VB is any worse than Sept. at WDW? :goodvibes

We go in August and it is hot (88-92 degrees) for sure but it is very nice. If you are used to those muggy dog days in the Northeast well that is VB in August. We usually get to the pool/beach by 9 am and stay until 2 ish... resort usually get a nice cooling shower in late afternoon and then we go out at night. It is simply awesome.

We just got home from Vero last night. The day temps were in the low 90s. It was hot, but being on the ocean, there is always a nice breeze.

We always visit WDW in September and it is muggy hot. I didn't think Vero was bad at all.

Yes... July/August can be hot... Too hot for me... I like cold waters... That said... the ocean really doesn't change much from April to August... the gulf stream is a constant. It is the air that changes... The sand gets hot and the air gets hot from May to August. Nonetheless... the ocean always provides some comfort from the heat. Just be sure to put on that 30 sunblock.

Hey Boston5602, You have a new avatar... what does it mean? Sorry to be blunt.

Edit: Nevermind, I found it out for myself. :)
