My Family and I are planning on Nov 9 for our trip. Can't wait! My question: Is it too early to get airfare, should I watch the prices or lock in now? I have a round trip price of $964.00 for 4 people on USAir. I'm flying from upstate New York. I'm nervous I won't be able to get the flights I want if I wait. Help!

That's not a terrible price for tickets. If you want specific flights, then I would lock in now. They might go down, but not by much. They might also go up, by alot. A bird in the hand is worth two in the buch IMHO.

It's a gamble, but I think I have to agree with Anne. With travel picking up, I really don't think prices will go down and if they do, I don't think it'll be alot. If it's the flight schedule you want, book it now. I've already booked my flight for early Dec. I was online and saw the flight I wanted was 1/2 full and filling up fast!!! :smooth:

If the prices do go down....most airlines offer credit vouchers to be used on future flights. Just a thought.

Because I am always looking for non-stop direct flights at peak hours, I always book my tickets exactly 330 days out (the maximum # of days in advance). And rarely has the price gotten better, but many times it's gone higher.

My family is going the first week of Nov and i got air through Delta for 4 people for $688.00. I booked because i wanted to make sure i got the times i wanted. Michelle
