What is the weather like in January/February at Disney?
Is it too cold to go swimming?

It can be, but it could also be perfect swimming weather.

We were there this past January and were able to swim a few days, but others it was just a little too cool. The weather in January can be a bit unpredictable, but we had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to go back in January...especially since the crowds were so small.

We were at WDW in Feb 3-11, 2006 and we went swimming 3 times during our week stay. The weather was wonderful! Although we are from Wisconsin so anything is warm to us. It was about 70-75 during the day and cooler at night. We are going again in Feb 07 and hoping to swim again!

It depends on how old you are. For kids, it's never too cold! lol
I've been in February and it was too cold for me. However, I'm cold blooded too.

How trure, how true. IS(27) (Idiot son) will swim in 30 degree weather. He wears shorts to Bills games in December.

We went to Blizzard Beach in January. It was a little cool (maybe around 70 degrees) but the water was heated and the sun was shining. We never found time to swim in the hotel pools.

We swim in January, but we're from the great white north so it seems warm to us. I remember one year it was 16 below zero when we left home in the morning. That night it was in the 40s at WDW and my kids swam anyway. The life guards were wearing down jackets, but the pool was heated and it was 60 degrees warmer than it had been for us that morning.

When they were done swimming, we went straight back to the room to dry off.

It was a blast.

If you are there for a week or so at least a couple of the days should be warm enough to swim. My family is from south Florida and alot of years we are still wearing shorts that time of year but just as soon as you plan on it they will experience a cold streak!

We were there Feb 1 - 10 we did get a water park day in and a couple of swimming days. For us it was cool in the evenings most nights a couple of nights it was cold, kids had beanies and gloves on and sweaters, but we are from Cali and anything under 50 is cold to us. It rained 2 days but didnt stop us, less people in the parks on the rainy days. I will deal with the cool weather to be able to walk up to all the rides

Being from Southeast Alaska 70 degrees would feel so warm for us. We are lucky to see a few 70 degree days during the summer. We are planning on going at the end of Feb or early March so I am glad to know that there should be a few days of warm weather.

Florida has really strange winter weather.

we went the second week of december and a few days it was in the 80's, then a few other days it was in the low 70's and at night it usually got really cold.

we never visited the water parks, but i know that on the days when it was only in the 70's they didn't open the water parks.

2 years ago never put on my shorts.

I've been several times in mid-winter. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's cold.

One time we went in December, and the first day had a high of about 78 and we went swimming. Then, it dropped to highs in the 50s! It was almost freezing at night (Orlando does occasionally get freezing temps.) On night we were sitting on those cooooollldddd metal bleachers at Fantasmic, and the best part of the whole show for me was when the dragon set the water on fire! I was warming my hands in the flames! :rotfl:
