Me:  33 years old…obsessive compulsive…into everything Disney. I wish I could live in Cinderella’s Castle!!
DH: pirate: 34 years old…..overall great guy…..the love of my life…….likes WDW (I love WDW and he likes it)
DD8: princess: doesn’t get to go on this trip! Sorry, but she went last year. (and yes I have guilt about not taking the kids…unfortunately I refuse to waste my Disney Dollars on therapy…..I will just have to get over it…hehehe) OH and my guilt has prompted me to plan a spring break trip for the kiddos.
DS2: pirate: doesn’t get to go either but, unlike his sister, he couldn’t care less.

This trip has been in the planning stages since the beginning of summer. I decided that I didn’t want to be fat anymore, so I joined weightwatchers about the same time I decided DH and I should take a short trip ….without the kids. It has been 10 years since we have been on a trip just the 2 of us. Anyway, I told DH that going to WDW is great motivation for losing weight…well it is….lol. I should be halfway to my goal by the time of our trip.
DH quit his job a couple of months ago so we had a couple of tense weeks wondering how we would pay the bills much less take a trip. But we ARE going to go...even if we end up ‘in debt up to our eyeballs’…..we NEED this trip.

First thing we needed to decide was where to stay. I wish we could stay at the Poly but I don’t have enough money...boohoo……well we could probably swing it if we took a shorter trip…..hahaha…a shorter trip……I crack myself up sometimes. DH has never stayed onsite before. I have only stayed onsite once, last year when I took DD for a mother/ daughter trip. We stayed one night at ASMovies and 4 nights at AKL. It was a splurge, but well worth every penny. OK…back to this year……after watching multiple episodes of Great Hotels and the vacation planning multiple times and reading about 20 guidebooks (yes I have at least that many….I told you I was obsessive…lol) and looking at countless pictures on allearsnet, we decided to stay at POFQ. I am hoping for a little romance while we are there…that is if we can remember what romance is. Anyone out there with children remember romance?

Once we decided on the resort, we needed to figure out which park on which day….Which can be complicated when you figure in EMH and MVMCP. Did we even want to go to MVMCP? Ummmm…yes!! Yes we do…at least I do I do!!

I spent days worrying about airfare…..can we fly out of Hobby or will we have to go all the way across town to Intercontinental. As it happens we were able to get a reasonable fare out of Hobby…whew…hopefully that will make it easy to find a ride.
And I also manage a later flight home so we can have an extra half day at MK (my favorite park)…and maybe sneak in a breakfast with a Dis-friend….yeah you know who you are… hehehe.

OK…room…check
Tickets…check
MVMCP….check
Plane tickets…check

What’s left…oh yeah,,,,,ADR’s

We each made a list of places we would like to go….we are on the dining plan so we can sample several TS restaurants we might otherwise skip….and since we aren’t taking the kids we might even be able to relax and enjoy a sit down meal……I can’t tell you how long it has been since I have been able to actually sit in a restaurant and eat my food while it was at least a little warm.
We agreed on every place except Morocco…..he wants to see the belly dancers….me not so much. Oh well, I am sure we will still have a good time….without the kids…yippee.

Now all that is left is the wait……..

Waiting :bored:
Waiting
I am really not good about waiting. I have no patience……I am more than a little obsessive. I plan out the days in my head…where we will be…what we will ride. I dream Disney. I wish December would hurry and get here!!! Did I mention that I can’t wait? Well….I can’t wait….lol. I like to post on threads just so I can see my ticker….lol….crazy I know…but that is just me.

I have typed up my schedule after quite a few changes and revisions…….We want to focus on the things that are difficult to see when we will have the kids in tow…in March….hehe….I hope the March trip eases my DD’s disappointment. Right now we are keeping it low key about our trip…..she knows but so far hasn’t said much…I would like to keep it that way as long as possible.

I want to add more to this pre trip report but a certain Dis-friend is rushing me into posting it now. She has this crazy notion that her report is better than mine.....also for the record, she was the one who issued the trip report challenge......i think ;) ....

So...I need readers, lots and lots of readers....lol. :rolleyes1

:thumbsup2 subbing. Nice start and it sounds like you are hoping for a little "souviner" Hehehehehehehe. Write more!

Good challenge with the Pre-Trip. I am going to move you over to our new Pre-trip sub boards. You can PM me and I'll move it back to the TR Boards.

I have 3 college kids I am not taking next April. I am thinking of taking a picture of their pouty faces and posting it in my signature.

Waiting patiently for for those additions you promised to add to this TR! Hehehe! :Pinkbounc
