To make November Bread in June??? :rotfl:

I have a bunch of apples I need to use up and I've got a hankering for November Bread.. Best part is my recipe is for two loaves - so I can make one for now and freeze the other for later..:thumbsup2

I think I'll try a couple of new recipes I have for Apple Betty and Apple Crisp while I'm in the baking mood too..:goodvibes

Off to the pantry to gather up my supplies..:thumbsup2

tacky? nope.

Sounds like an invitation to me. :lmao:

:scared1:

ACK ... First ... close the blinds. Wouldn't want the neighbors to know. :rotfl:

Sounds really good, what time should we all be there?

It's terribly tacky! It ranks right up there with wearing white shoes on september 15! Do not do it. ;)

I've never seen a Bread of the Dead recipe that used apples, but I say go for it.

Okay, I'll bite, C.Ann... WHAT is November bread??? :confused3

:rotfl:Whatever it is I'm sure there are no Nov Bread Police that will arrest you for making it in June!

"i'm tellin'ya copper, I ain't go the dough"..... :rotfl:

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has no idea what November bread is :lmao: It's probably good though, are you inviting us over for a sampling?

I've never heard of November bread either and would love to know what it is. Bread with apples in it sounds yummy.

I've never heard of November bread either, but if it has apples I'm sure it's delish...and completely non-tacky! Making November bread in June is just getting you ready for Christmas in July :thumbsup2

Yes. So tacky it's important that you send all baked goods to MY house as soon as they are ready! Yummy!:lmao:

Okay, is someone going to tell us what November is? Also share the recipe, please!

That's like asking if it's okay to drink Iced Tea in the winter.... or eat Chili in the summer.

You don't mess with taste bud's needs, and hankerings. ;)

Rename it...June Bread. Sounds prettier, anyways.

Mmmmmmmm...so good!! Here's the recipe for all who are interested:

Delicious! Very, very moist..

November Bread

3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulater sugar
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 and 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 sticks butter or margarine - melted
2 eggs - beaten
1 and 1/4 cup milk
1 cup cored, peeled, and chopped apple (about 3 medium apples)

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease two loaf pans and set aside.

In small saucepan melt butter or margarine.

In a big bowl, thoroughly combine brown sugar, granualted sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Make a well in center and add melted butter/margarine, eggs, and milk. Mix until smooth. Stir in apples.

Divide batter evenly among the two loaf pans. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Loosen bread around edges with a knife. Cool in pans on wire racks for approximately 15 minutes. Turn out on wire racks and continue cooling.

Makes 2 Loaves

***Refrigerate leftovers as anything with apples in it tends to mold quickly if left out at room temp..***

Enjoy! I know I am!! :rotfl:

That sounds sooo good. It would make a great breakfast bread, or muffins, or pancakes, or dinner bread or lunch bread. :lmao:
