Is it storming anywhere else?

I'm terrified of storms. Mark is at work so I'm home alone with a million candles lit and my Zune ready with headphones on standby! A tree got hit by lightening like 15 feet away from my apartment!

Sorry this thread is semi-random. I'm trying to keep my mind off of the weather!

Ahh, that's scary!! We're supposed to get some storms tonight. It was super humid today and there are a lot of big puffy clouds out.

Storms are scary, especially when I'm home alone. I get really freaked out. I crank up the music too. lol

We're in the middle of a heat-wave and haven't had rain in like a month...
Then the skies decide to rain huge, hard pellits (spelling?) of rain.
It's odd. But not storming.

Usually every afternoon there's a bad thunderstorm.

It's been raining here like every 3 days. Bad storms too. The power went out for about 2 hours.

I am just terrified of bad storms with thunder and lightening. I know where I would be if I was in your shoes. Hiding in the basement with my headphones on.

I used to be sooo afraid of storms when I was younger. In 2nd grade I would cry whenever it rained just a tiny bit and then one day my mom brought in a Thunder Cake [I think that's what it was called] & the book and everybody had some. xD It was great!

And I used to be sooo scared of tornados too. Hurricane season 2004 was not my year.

We had tornado warnings/watches Saturday. It sucked. I hate storms and then I was babysitting then. So the kids were freaking out. =/

It was storming a little here. In Kentucky (I live 30 minutes north) there was a tornado watch and that storm system seemed to move up towards where we live. I really do like storms as long as there are no tornadoes and the electricity doesn't go out, because then I'm BORED!

Well it's definitely raining today,
and it will be all week, but it's not storming.

This was outside my apt. yesterday! It's short & it got a lot worse!
