Is it still worth it to transfer a reservation to Dream Finders?

I've been on 14 Disney Cruises with my last being in 2013. We used to either book through dreams unlimited or transfer to them just to get the OBC and extra gift. Before I booked yesterday, I did a quick search and saw there has been some controversy around them recently. Are there any downsides to transferring? Are they still helpful?

Dreams still does OBC so I guess the question is is that extra money still important for you? If you have a travel agent that you have been working with in the past, I would contact them. They are not involved in these recent controversies.

just keep in mind I believe a transfer booking gives less OBC then one an agent books

There has been no change in the way Dreams Unlimited Travel works. You continue to get the same service and benefits as they offered on your previous cruises.

The controversy is mostly around the leadership of the company (one in particular, though the response made by the other leader has been less than popular with many). Dreams Unlimited continues to operate as it has in the past, and I would guess the travel agent would appreciate your business as they may be hurting due to the negative publicity (not saying anyone is right or wrong for choosing to work/not work with DU). You will still get the welcome basket as you did before, and your OBC will be 50% of what it was for a new booking (since you transferred)-and that's not a new thing, that's been around for a while.
