I will HAVE to ride the monorail during my trip in Aug., no trip to DL is complete without it, but my question is, with the Nemo queue wrapping around all over the place in that general area, is it horribly time-consuming to get out of TL, or at least over to Space Mtn? I can see myself getting turned around and going in circles for the rest of the day in the Autopia/Nemo area!

My other question (yes, there are 2 :goodvibes ) is, can you do a round trip from DTD and back, or do you always have to unload at TL?

The monorail is one-way only.

I can't answer your other question. Seems like it would depend on the day/time and if there was already a line and how long the line was to get on the monorail.

Personally, I don't like standing in lines when I could walk a little bit and enter DLR faster.

One way only? Really? I've never been to DLR, only to WDW wayyyyy too many times to count. I'm going to DLR in less than 3 weeks and I've done lots of reading but I havn't read this anywhere before. Why is it only one-way?

I mean "one way only" in that you have to get off at the next stop -- you cannot get on in TL and stay on for a round trip back to TL - you must get off at DTD. Same goes if you get on at DTD -- you must get off at TL.

KWIM?? :)

Actually you can go round trip. We did this in March. We got on in TL and rode to DTD and then rode back to TL. When they were working on it and it was in "shuttle" mode you could only ride one way, but that is no longer the case.

I don't know about doing the monorail during regular park hours in order to get to Nemo, but last week while I was there I went in on an EE day and rode the monorail - Best decision I made! I was on the first submarine out that morning! We did have to wait about 30 minutes though for 'technical difficulties'. But what they hey! So much better than waiting for HOURS.

I never liked entering the park via monorail, because I missed the experience of entering and walking down main street...am I weird? LOL

I don't think it makes you weird! The only time I've ever entered the park via monorail was so I could get to Nemo! Normally I'm the same exact way.

The monorail is back to running as a round trip now, but everyone has to get off at TL, so you can't make a round trip from DTD.

The Nemo line is really well contained, so you shouldn't have any problems. If you sit in the back half of the monorail, you will exit to the left, which will take you down the stairs and through the Nemo queue, but they have a CM there directing traffic, so it is not bad at all. If you sit in the front half, you will exit right and head down the ramp, which dumps you off near the stroller parking for Nemo. Either way, it's not bad.

The only part that is really bad is the area between the lagoon and the Matterhorn. The walkway is narrowed because of the Nemo queue, and traffic gets pretty bad through there because so many people stop to look at the subs coming through. So avoid that if at all possible!

Thanks, Tink! Exactly what I needed to know!;)
