:rolleyes1

I keep looking at other peoples tickers and thinking ooohh 2month to go I bet they are excited....forgetting of course I'm under two months :banana: can't wait.

I was just wondering what pre disney trip things people do in the run up to their holidays. We have 6weeks and I'm thinking we should do at least one disney themed thing a week. This week... We're off to see toy story 3:upsidedow

Funny, I was thinking along similar lines. I just haven't had the time or focus the last few weeks to think about my ticker. We are one week behind you. One good thing is that this is the part that usually drags and being preoccupied has made it feel like the countdown is in freefall. I am off to sort the back to school things now for MOnday. (I know, it's last minute :scared1: I had arranged a couple of afternoons off work this week and then we were short staffed so I couldn't - or rather opted not to - due to the impact it would have on the others.)

Last weekend we took out the Tom Sawyer DVD. DD had never seen it but she loves TS Island and I thought it would make more sense to her if she knew the story. She only watched it about 15 times - I almost know the script :lmao:

Yeah our tickers are very close... where are you staying?

Yeah this month is flying by, I'm sure by the start of Sep I will be panicking I have forgotten something. I really haven't thought about the parks and the things we want to see and do the most.

The children went to see The Sorcerers Apprentice today and we also have Toy Story 3 planned for later this week.

We are also busy planning our trip - making pretty tables and calendars of what we are doing!

Other than that - our really exciting thing is making our video that recreates our favourite roller coaster for a competition.

Can I just hijack this September party to ask... is it OCTOBER yet :) we do wish our lives away don't we ;)

Actually, with you on here now, 75% of the posters on this thread ARE waiting for October!

Check your plans, recheck your plans, pack, unpack, repack, check your plans, check park hours, get a new disney t-shirt, pack it.

I'm sure you;re getting the jist of how I prepare for a trip! :rotfl:

:lmao: I did think about packing some of our holiday bits the other day though the amount of clothes I've bought a test run might be wise :rolleyes1

Then Disney changes some park hours, adds in a Fantasmic show the day you planned to do DHS to avoid the crowds and you are back to the drawing board. If you really want to, you can keep yourself ridiculoulsy busy right up to boarding your flight. ;) Last year I was starting to worry because we hadn't received our tickets and vouchers 2 days before we flew out. And we were leaving a day early to fly down to Manchester and it was Easter weekend so the travel agent wasn't open. We flew out on the Friday morning. Thomas Cook phoned me at work at 4.45 pm on the Wednesday to say tickets were ready. I have never hot-footed it out of the office so quickly :lmao:

We're wishing for October aswell.

Made Boma chicken curry soup for tea yesterday and had mickey pancakes for breakfast.

Paid off WDW travel company today for accomodation and tickets, was due this Friday and booked preferred viewing for the fireworks.

DD has watched the disney sing a long dvds in the car yesterday and today. When I told her we weren't spending money in the zoo shop she said very seriously - we're saving pennies for Mickey!

Countdown calendar still going well - 61 days to go.

i want to pack!!!!!!!:yay::yay::yay::yay:

Since you also live north of the border, unless you have been hogging a secret stash of decent weather this summer :rotfl:, you could just take all the summer clothes you need for the holiday and pack them, or at least set them aside. Aside from Florida, I doubt we're going to have any use for them before next year anyway! :lmao:

I'm just waiting until we've been to visit family for the August bank holiday then i'm getting the cases down and packing.

Had a trip to poundland/homebargains for toiletries and snacks to take for DD.

just over 7 weeks for us :banana:. we have just been to see tinkerbells new movie, and as school is back tomorrow i think that most of our summer clothes will be packed in the cases soon, as I doubt we will be wearing much of them now
