Hi, Yes I am a big chicken and my 8 year old is following in my footsteps!! We were just wondering how scary the Barges & The Dudley Do Right Ride are.?We were there last year and did not ride either as he though the drops were huge. Is it that bad?? My husband really wants to ride them this time Oct 9 - 17 and hopefully we will. Can you compare them to any other rides. We rode Mission To Space (never again for me, little one loves it). We rode Spiderman and that was great. Thanks so much!!!::MinnieMo

Popeye isn't intense at all, you will get wet though. Ripsaw Falls has a very intense drop though. There's no restraints either.

Mission Space is a human centrifuge and is nothing like Ripsaw Falls. Spiderman would only come close if you consider the 400 foot sensory drop at the end. Ripsaw can be compared to Jurassic Park River Adventure, Splash Mountain, Journey to Atlantis or even Stanley Falls which I rode and survived on my 50th birthday. The drop is similar to almost any coaster only they add water and the "thrill" is over in a hurry (seconds not minutes).

The barge ride.

Ok - I REALLY should have looked closer at the people getting off the ride - they were SOAKED! It's NOT scary at all...kinda like the Kali River Rapids ride at AK, on SPEED! hehehe. You will get drenched - but it's NOT scary at all, all fun.

Dudley Do-Right Ripsaw falls.

Again - not scary...just a flume ride. MUCH steeper then Splash mountain though (and Jurassic Park river Adv. ) You get the wettest on Ripsaw out of the 3.

we rode these back to back...yeah, we were SOAKED for the rest of the afternoon! hehehe

If you love Spiderman - as do I! - these, IMO, are nothing. The drop is over in a snap...and there are plenty of things to hang on to.

Enjoy!

(and if you chicken out on either of these rides - be sure to have a pocketful of quarters. There are "squirt guns" you can pump money into and nail people on the ride with...sooooo much fun. My DH is addicted to it! heheh)

You get the wettest on Ripsaw out of the 3.
I'm sure every experience is different but we got the wettest on Bluto's Barge. Had to ride Dr Doom several times in a row just to dry off ;)

I meant out of the 3 flume rides - Ripsaw/Jungle Adventure/Splash Mountain - you get the wettest on Ripsaw.

however - if there was 1 centimeter on you that was dry - the Barge would soak it! hehehe

Actually, JtA will get you the wettest if you sit in the front row. The water literally floods that row.
