Is it Salvageable?

So I decided to try to put holes in a denim vest to put metal rings in, except it didn't quite work with my crop-a-dile. Now the vest has two holes and black dots. Is this vest salvageable? I hope so. I am so mad at myself for doing this, thinking it would work out for me, which nothing ever does.
