This was posted on another thread, but I thought I would post it her to see what others have to say. A pp was stating that they thought it was rude for someone to "save" a table at a QS restaurant while someone from their party went and ordered the food. Thoughts? :confused3

Nope. We always just ask the older kids/teenagers in our group what they want and then they save us a table. If you wait until you get your food, there may not be a table. Some of those restuarants get really busy and tables fill up fast.

I don't think it's rude at all as long as one part of the family is actually getting the food. ( and people aren't just sitting there holding a table and not eating) It's kind of tough w/ a CS meal....you're not guaranteed a table. So if one person goes to get the napkins, condiments, etc and gets a table while the other gets the food, I don't see anything wrong w/ that.

there's nothing worse than having a tray of hot food and no place to sit. Or while you're waiting for a table while your food is getting cold, the birds are swarming you. I lost a good burger that way a few years ago.......:goodvibes

I agree that there is nothing worse than a tray of hot food and no place to sit. That is why it is rude to save a table for 20 minutes while someone is in line ordering food while other diners are roaming the restaurant looking for a place to sit.

There was another holding tables thread on the restaurant board that was closed today. I know I said I was sure it'd be back, I just didn't mean today. ;) :)
