We LOVE eating dinner at the Biergarten when we are staying at WDW & doing the DDP. This year we went to Universal, but are "spending" our Give a Day Get a Day at Epcot. Went to make ressies at Biergarten for tomorrow & was told it would be $50.05 per person! When did this happen?

That's got to be wrong. Are you sure they weren't quoting you a package price or the price for two? I'd call again - I think you got some inaccurate info.

I called 6 months ago to make the ressie & was quote that price. Then, this evening, DH asked where we were eating tomorrow & I said "counter service". Well, he wasn't happy with that answer so he called & got the same info I did..............

The last update I have on menus for Biergarten is for June 2010 and it was listed a s $34.99 per adult for the buffet. I hear what you guys are saying, but clearly there is more to it than this. They just raised it in June to be $34.99 (add 7% more for tax and it is still only $37.35), so I can't see any way they raised it another almost 30% in 2 months. Something is clearly fishy here. I would double check and make sure you arent' going there when they have some kind of special going on... is this during F&W or something?

Sounds really crazy, gotta be some kind of explanation. :)

Well, I just went to the online disney dining site, and it shows Biergarten tomorrow night and the price range is $15-35.99. Even adding in tax won't amake it near $50 so definitely think someone is giving you strange info.

Maybe they are "estimating" what your cost would be buffet, tax and gratuity?

We are off to Epcot today & will find out the answer. Wish they served the rouladen (sp?) at lunch, then we would just there then.

Who gave you that price? Someone at WDW DINE? I don't ask WDW DINE for info. They're not consistent and they're not correct most of the time. I use it only to make reservations.

There's no way Biergarten costs $50 per person. That would be a $15 increase on the dinner price. Even with tax and gratuity you won't get $50 for one person. And if you were quoted that price six months ago, it's definitely wrong.

Epcot restaurants do not raise prices for the food & wine festival.

Awesome! Update us w/live reports!! Not only on Biergarten, but everything youre doing!!

Have a great day!

Well, WDW DINE was, thankfully, incorrect! It was $34.99 per adult & was fabulous!

Even when I pointed out to WDW DINE that their website showed a range which did not exceed $36.00 per adult, they were still insistant the price was $50.05. Glad they were wrong.

That sounds like the Candlelight Processional Package price...

Either that, or EVERYONE has to buy a liter of bier with their buffet! :drinking1

I remember reading some time ago that during busy times they were adding a surcharge to buffet meals I thought it was $5 but it could have been more.:confused3

it's only $5 for the surcharge, not $15. I suspect either a computer glitch, and/or misinformed Disney Dine CM and/or they were quoting the Candlelight Processional package price.
