Is it possible to still do a split stay?

I currently have a reservation for 5 nights at the Grand Floridian in June. But, I want to modify my reservation to 3 nights at the Yacht Club and 3 nights at the Grand Floridian. Can we still do split stays? I tried calling to see about getting help doing it and the reservationist seemed incapable, so I just thanked her for her time and hung up. Can split stays still be set up? I would need 7 day park hoppers.

We did split in Dec. We’re DVC so it was easy online. Not sure how involved it is otherwise, but should be able to be done.

"Split stay" is really just an internet term, not a Disney term. From Disney's perspective it's two totally independent/separate resort reservations that just happen to be back to back.

So in your case you want to modify your current GF reservation and then make a new reservation for your YC dates.

How did you book the GF reservation - as part of a package or room only reservation?

I booked it as part of a package with tickets. I'd prefer to change it myself but I'm not having any success right now.

I had to call to get the tickets for 9 days. I could only add 5 days online. The CM knew exactly what to do. I'd call back if I were you.

Just to add, we went last summer when things were so crazy. There were many changes and I had to call for several reasons. Most CM were very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt I was in good hands. But once, I had to call back after making a change that didn't seem to match other's experiences with the same change. The CM was super kind, she just wasn't knowledgeable. When I called back, the CM solved my problem. All that said just to give you confidence when making a second call.

Ok, it all worked out. I called back and got a very helpful cm who knew exactly what I wanted and how to do it. I'm now booked 3 nights at the Yacht Club and 3 nights at the Grand Floridian with 7 day park hoppers. Thank you for your help everyone!

It's so sad that a CM could not handle something as basic as a split stay.
