Is it possible to pay cash for additional nights?

Hi Everyone.
We plan to stay 2 weeks at SSR this year, but are 19 points short. Is it possible to pay for the additional difference, or do I have to have the right amount of points (and hope that someone has 19 points available for transfer) ?

We have added extra days on cash several times.

You cannot add cash to your points to complete a night. You can have a point transfer or book a cash night, if available, and have the reservations linked.

The room can be "paid for" with cash or points, but not a combination. Could you borrow 19 pts from next year? Or, bank the last nights points and pay in cash.

You could do a transfer, just remember that you are only allowed 1 transfer per year.

You are limted to one transfer per use year, in or out, but not both. There has been no "official" reason given for the rule, though it has been on the books since OKW was built. Member Services ignored the rule for years, but started enforcing it a couple of years ago. Speculation is it is to cut down some on commercial renting. For instance, a member transfers 100 points to another member, then another member does the same, and so on for a price. The receiving member would then pre-book and rent out reservations during the peak DVC hoilday times, in essence locking out other members from using their points at that time, in a single phone call. Again, this is only a theory that was floating around the boards.

It doesn't have anything to do with systems, they used to allow multiple transfers. I agree with Chuck, it was done to restrict renting.

The one transfer rule? It should be in your POS. And Disney/DVC reserves the right to change most things about the membership, except those that it is prevented from changing in FL timeshare law.
