is it possible to increase #threads per page?

I don't know how many were displayed per page on the old boards, but whatever it was seemed to fit my definition of what was new/active and what had gotten old. Is this a personal setting I can change, or is 20 threads a fixed display for the boards?

There are about twice as many threads per page on the new boards. I have several older threads that I closed at the 250-page limit on the old boards, and they now show as having less than 150 pages.

Am I using the right terms? When I went to a forum, there were way more threads on page 1 than I currently have here. . . I see at the bottom of these pages that it's 1-20 of XX but I don't recall what it used to be. It definitely wasn't half - only 10 threads on page 1?! It just feels like there are a fair amount of "new" or recent threads that fall to page 2 pretty fast now.

If it's just a universal setting, I'll get used to it. I was just hoping it was a setting I could adjust like on a shopping site where you can determine how many items per page to display.

I think both of you mean posts not threads as the OP. I think there are less threads displayed per page now when you go to a forum, but once you are in a thread there are more posts per page.

So it looks like there are 30 posts per page now, first day of new boards it was 20. 30 is better than 20 but I wish there was a way to make it

I'd have thought around 50 would be a nice number of threads to display per page, however there could be load overheads on the internal search facility which runs in the background to generate the lists, which might start to slow the boards down when you increase the amount of results being displayed for multiple users every second.
