Is it possible to get a deal for these dates?

My DSIL just called for help in planing a last-minute trip to WDW for three nights, Jan. 4-Jan6. They do have tons of Marriott points, but would love to snag a deal on property, if possible. Are there any codes that would apply to such a short stay? They are interested in staying at a mod or deluxe, depending on the price. DB loves sit-down meals, so I think that the dining plan should be considered. (We know that there may be slim pickings at this point!) They don't necessarily have to hop, either.

Are there any good Marriott options that they should consider if the on- proporty idea doesn't work out? I try to plan our trips a good year in advance, so I really don't know how to help them on such short notice!

Maybe they could try the Swan and Dolphin? I know they couldn't get the dining, but they are very nice resorts, love the location, and you can frequently get a much much better price than the Boardwalk or Yacht and Beach Club.

For that, I'd check out their website (if you go through Disney, they quote higher, rack rates).

The Dolphin is about $201.00 per night with AAA for those days, the Swan a few dollars more. I personally prefer the Swan, but they are both great! You get movies on demand there, as opposed to Disney resorts, although for 3 nights, that doesn't leave much time for that. That is a good rate, compared to the Disney deluxe resorts. I didn't check any other discounts, but they have government rates and such. You can also call directly. Swan has queen beds, Dolphin doubles (both have King).
