Hello everyone. I'm new to posting, but have been lurking on these boards for a while now. Thanks for all the great advice!

I have a few questions about our upcoming September trip, and I figured this was a good place to start. Has anyone ever been able to order a birthday cake with any character other than Mickey on it? My son will be turning three on this trip, and he loves Buzz Lightyear. I'd love to be able to order a Buzz cake for him, but I've only seen people mention Mickey birthday cakes. I was given the telephone number to special order a cake, but I guess it's a little early for that, so I thought I would ask here first!

Thanks! Jen :earsgirl:

I'm not sure but if Disney doesn't and you have a car/taxi the Publix grocery stores carry Toy Story themed cakes.

Thanks, Belle1962! I hadn't thought about Publix! We usually do make a stop there, however, we won't be renting a car this time around in order to save a little money. We decided to just use the Magic Express and rely on Disney transportation (which is how we get around most of the time anyway).

I know that I read something about a grocery store delivery service, though. In fact, I was going to try to look it up since I'd planned on having a few other things delivered to the room. Anyone know the name of the service? If I ordered in advance, I'm sure they would be able to pick up a cake as well.

Has anyone else been able to order a cake with a character other than Mickey on it? I'd really like to order one from Disney if at all possible. :wave2:

I'm bumping up this old thread in the hopes that it may get some new replies. I too am looking for a Buzz Lightyear cake at WDW and will not have a car to purchase one off property. Does anyone know if any of the WDW bakeries will do a Buzz cake?

That is a great question!! My DHs birthday is during our trip in November, and he loves buzz lightyear, that would be awesome if we could get a cake with him on it!! :thumbsup2

This is a picture of an Ariel cake that we had at Flying Fish Cafe a coupl of years ago. I actually ordered it through the Boardwalk Bakery. It looked like the Ariel Section was done the way they do photo cakes, so I can't imagine that they couldn't do Buzz.

Sorry if this image is too big...for the life of me I can't figure out how to make it any smaller...

If you have a dinner planned at a special disney resort the night you want to celebrate the birthday or that actual day! You can call that restaurant and more than likely you can get one right from them! I believe you have to ask in advance though! We did this for my dd on one trip at Chef Mickey's when you call they will tell you what characters you can choose from or you can ask for a specific one and see if they have it! It was fun all the characters came over and sang happy birthday to her it was so worth it!!! They pay special attention to them! Also don't for get to goto the park information desk at any park and get the It's my birthday pin! We also did this and they picked her to be in the parade! A million cm's said happy birthday to her! The characters also make a big deal! It's a fun day for all!
