Is it possible to downsize from PAP to AP?

We purchased PAP vouchers from the Disney store and have now decided that we really only needed AP's. When we go to WDW to exchange the vouchers into passes, can we change to AP's and get a refund for the difference? Or do I have any options?

You cannot downgrade, nor do you have any other options that I am aware of. Sorry Hopefully I am wrong and someone else has better news... Check out the FAQ here:

I once thought the same as mic_key_mouse. However, it appears that if you have vouchers, you can indeed change your mind. Check out this thread and take note of Golden Oldies' post.

Ah but there's a very big difference between what the OP wants to do and what the poster in the other thread wanted to do.

The other thread poster wanted to apply his two AP vouchers towards 6 Seasonal Passes. That exceeded the value of the two AP's ($806 for AP, $1270 for SPs) so it was doable within Disney's rules. This transaction would not.

Disney's rule is no refunds on regular park ticket sales which would preclude you from getting any money back. They will usually tell you that the ticket (voucher) never expires and you can use it anytime. Having said that and keeping in mind that the application of Disney policies will often vary greatly from CM to CM, you may be able to find a Guest Relations supervisor who would do it.

My best advice to you is prepare for the worst (no refund) and take anything better the CM offers you as a pleasant surprise.

Thanks for all your help guys. Sounds like I get to keep my PAP this year and can downgrade to a AP when I renew...a lesson learned. I should have gotten the AP and could have always upgraded. I bought those PAP's before I knew about the DISboards. The wealth of knowledge on these boards is worth so much. Thanks again!
