Is it possible to access my canadian bank somewhere in Orlando? I have a cheque that will be deposited like 2 days after I get there...

I'd imagine via ATM...? Maybe a Currency Exchange kind of Place? I'd think with as many international guests as WDW has, you should be safe!

:wave2: No problem,I would call guest services before you leave and ask them where on property you could handle this. :goodvibes :earsboy: :)

Assuming you have a debit/ATM card for the account? Then there are ATM's at all the parks. The key is your card should have the PLUS symbol on the back. I know both CIBC and RBC cards work, and assume the other major banks would as well....

Do you have online banking with your bank? You could find someplace to check it on a computer. Doesn't DQ have computers to use the internet or something like that?

mine is TDCanadaTrust..so i can just go to an ATM???

Look on the back of your ATM card and it should have symbols for the type of card it is. Just look for any ATM machine with the same symbol. My US ATM card works fine throughout Canada so I'm sure you will be fine :) I'm pretty sure now that I think about it that I have even used it at a TDCanada Trust machine :flower:

My US ATM card worked fine in Canada, Germany, France, and Japan. I think ATMs are world wide some how. If course you have to be able to read enough of the other language to push the right buttons - LOL

You also have to know what the exchange rate is, because the ATM doesn't tell you. My friend once tried to take $500.00 dollars out and hit too many zeros and if she hadn't of caught it, would have gotten $5000.00.

Yes, make sure you know the rate of exchange. We used our ATM/Debit card in a machine in Austria and thought we were putting in the amount for American money and it came out in Austrian currency, which was maybe 3 dollars and something? I don't really remember but we had to go into the bank to straighten it out. So if you're using an ATM that isn't at a bank, make sure you're pushing the right amount taking into consideration the current rate of exchange. Very important.
