Yup, we got just the same dusting....And yeah my household is always happy when the Pats win:laughing: Do you listen to sports talk radio at all? Do you get WEEI there? You'd have thought the Pats lost the way they go on and on about the negatives.:confused3

We do get that station but DH doesn't listen to it... just ESPN all day/night:happytv:

My friends.... Sorry to bring bad news to the party, but I found out that my Aunt Pat (the one who went on the cruise with us this fall) has Cancer. She has been in the Hospital for 3 days now with a bleeding liver and once they got everything under control they went in to figuring out what was going on with the liver and found tumors on the liver, and the colon. They removed the tumor on the colon, and 8 inches of colon but, was unable to do anything with the liver.

She is resting right now but is very upset. We will be there to see her in about 3 weeks but any prayers you can offer would be wonderful and appreciated.

Thanks,
Brandi

 I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt. :grouphug:

Same to you:goodvibes Hope you had a great day!

My Christmas got all screwed up, typical for how 2010 had gone for me, right? At Thanksgiving, @ my aunts, the family was discussing having Christmas dinner the next day (that would be today) that way my cousins could take the kids to see the grandparents on the other side of the family, and dine w/our side today...Well, mother nature had other ideas:laughing: We're expecting a blizzard:scared1: Just started lightly snowing, but by 3pm should start to get heavy...They are anticipating as much as 20 inches of snow...So we postponed Christmas dinner until New Years day, which is fine, but Scott can't come:sad2: Still works a few hours PT @ Home Depot and they are open on New Years day, he always works Saturdays..No biggie, I'll still get Christmas, just very late:laughing:

It's the Blizzard of 2010...I can't believe how much snow is falling right now.

Hi guys, I haven't been on the Dis in ages, so I wanted to pop on and say a belated Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope you all had a great holiday! :goodvibes I know there's lots of you on the East Coast...can you believe this blizzard? Thank goodness we still have power! :scared1:

Jambo, everyone! We made it home through the snow. athenna... I can commiserate with your Christmas meal disaster: Our Brookline daughter had her flight canceled yesterday, but after 90 minutes on hold with Jet Blue she was able to get a flight that left MCO 5 hours earlier. They plowed out the runway for her plane at Logan and then closed the airport behind her flight! She had her suitcase and a purse and no boots. :( When she got off the T at her station the cabs weren't running into her neighborhood because they couldn't get up the hills, so she had to walk in her flats with no socks. Not very fun at 10:00 at night!

Our flight to DC was delayed by 40 minutes and we finally got home at 1:30 this morning. Younger DD had to be at work at 8:15 this morning so I got up and drove to her apartment to drive her to work. It is more icy and windy here, not so much snow (3-4 inches, maybe?) but I didn't want her to have to walk in that on very little sleep.

I am tired, but at least we are home. There were lots of families both at MCO and National that are not home yet. :(

I am worried that there are no posts from Kim. I hope everything is OK.

Brandi - :grouphug: for you and your family. What a tough thing to deal with right now.

I brought something back for Kim:

There are a few other pictures. Not a lot because I just didn't take a lot this trip! I will get to those later.

Got to spend very little time with Laura (RachelTori) because our "itineraries" just didn't line up very well. :(

Elin, I am so glad you all made it home safely; although it sounds like Kathrin had a real adventure!!

We all love WDW & AKL, but "there's no place like home". :cloud9:

It's the Blizzard of 2010...I can't believe how much snow is falling right now.

Ugh, I agree, and it's so windy and cold, and bleech:laughing: I have to go shovel driveway so fiance has somewhere to put his car.

Worried about her too, it's not like her to be away from so DIS so long:hug:

Hi everyone - just wanted to say Happy Holidays!

Welcome back Elin - your poor dd -that's a crappy way to end a trip! I don't think we got as much snow as they said we were going to, but unfortunately it still messed up everyone's travel plans.

Brandi - sorry to hear about your aunt.

Hopefully all is well with Kim...

I was in the opposite case. I flew down to TX on Sunday morning and luckily I was on an early flight since I was flying through Baltimore. My connecting flight left about 3 hours before SW cancelled all their flights through Baltimore. Now hopefully, the weather will be good on New Years Day when I fly home. I'm glad that I splurged on the parking garage at the airport for this trip. :goodvibes

Robbie - New Year's forecast looks great! You should have no problem getting home through Baltimore. Enjoy your trip!

I sent Kim a PM yesterday letting her know that all her Jambo friends were concerned about her.

I thought I would share her reply:

...Kathy ~
Thanks for your well-wishes; there may actually be light at the end of the tunnel. After my M-in-L's operation, she had had a setback, but is taking small steps to recovery - she is still on a feeding tube and is in ICU, but no longer on a ventilator and sedated and the heart specialist says that the valve replacement was a success. Since I hadn't any chance to even BEGIN my XMas shopping, I had to start SOMETIME, so I had taken 2 personal days (Tues and Wed before Christmas) and, basically EXHAUSTED my body and wallet! Then, Christmas Eve was at MY house, so there was some MAJOR cooking to be done here. In betweern that was decorating and cleaning, along with visits to the hospital. You can see how I really didn't have any time to DIS. And then, of course, we were DUMPED UPON with 18 inches of snow! Thanks goodness we have the week off! :faint: Again, thank you [and everyone else] for your prayers...

Kim

Hey Kim!! Long time, no see!! Love Roy's picture in your signature!!

I have a question maybe someone can answer...does the AKL Arusha View have twin or full bunk beds? I thought they would be like WL and be twins but someone said they were full
