Possibly planning a 2011 stay at AK, but can someone please tell me the difference between:

1 bedroom villa, value view at Jambo

and

1 bedroom villa, standard view at Kidani

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Kidani unit is slightly bigger with two washrooms right? Are there any other differences? Which one would you prefer? The difference in price is approx. $300

Thanks so much for any input! :goodvibes

$300 difference over how many nights? The "value" at Jambo is the smallest of all the 1 bedrooms. The Kidani 1-bedrooms, whether standard or savanna view, are spacious and gorgeous.

Jambo has the CS restaurant plus Boma (the buffet) and Jiko (Signature dining). Kidani has Sanaa (table service) but no counter service. Buses to the park pick up and drop off at Kidani first.

Did I just help you or make the decision more difficult?!! :flower3:

Definately helpful - thanks for your input. I'm leaning more towards Kidani - it would be for 7 nights.

I think the extra space of Kidani is worth an extra $45 or so a night! :thumbsup2

Brandi - Hope you get to DHS!! Have fun wherever you may be! :cutie:

Wendy - Excited for you!! :yay: :woohoo: :yay:

** As for Kidani over Jambo.......... for me the 2nd bathroom alone makes the decision for me. It's worth EVERYTHING when you have nothing but boys in the room with you.......................... :rolleyes1

I'm just sayin.....................................

AND where is Jen??? She's got what, 3 or 4 days till she gets there...... :yay:

I can't believe this is happening:sad1:

I think I have to cancel my trip:sad1: My father is in the hospital, started out complaining about his stomach...Thought it was just a stomach bug, it had been going through the family last week...Yesterday he was breathing funny, brought him to hospital, they admitted him...They don't know whats going on w/the stomach, the CT scan and the Xray didn't show anything. However, he's got pnuemonia, thats why he was breathing funny. My plane leaves in the less than 48 hrs, but I've got the bad feeling we wont be on it...Dad lives w/us, I am the only child, etc. There really isn't anyone close by if God forbid I went and something happened.
To make matters worse, DVC (and the rest of Disney reservations) are closing again tomorrow for upgrade, so I think if I cancel, I have until today instead of tomorrow to call and not lose all those points:sad1::scared1:

And to make matters even worse, today is my birthday, and it sucks:sad2:

Say a prayer and cross your fingers...I'll update when I can.

Hugs to all of you:grouphug:

hi all!

we just booked our first trip @akl for 5/25-6/2 and we are beyond thrilled!!!:banana::banana:

we are a family of 5...me, dh, dd10, ds7 and ds2 and this is our 2nd family trip to disney. last year we stayed at cbr in a pirate room and although we had a great time, my dh vowed to only stay at a deluxe from that point on, mainly because of the lines for the buses leaving the park at the end of the night....the deluxes lines were always shorter! needless to say i had no complaints :thumbsup2

we are all booked for a pool view room with bunk beds which my older two are psyched for. but other than that--i need help!!! i need to learn all things akl--pool, dining, animals, activities for the kids, etc!

i heard about a morning safari? we are planning a "resort day" and figured that would be a way to start the day....if anyone could share some tips and advice, i would greatly appreciate it :goodvibes

thanks so much!!!

Just so you know the sunrise safari requires a park admission, but you can see my pictures from the safari here using this link.

Unless there is a new rule since my last email from AKL IPO, you have to be booked in Club Level to take advantage of the Sunrise Safari.
