Question for the Kidani experts. I know you've probably answered this a million times so sorry!:flower3: We've stayed at Jambo and kind of feel like we know our way around but next weeks trip is at Kidani and we've never set foot inside of it. As I was starting the online check-in process I noticed there was a place for requests...I thought the new reservation system had kind of done away with this but now I'm thinking I should at least make one (and yes I know it's only a request). I know the only CS is at the Mara so it might be nice to be closer to that end but we would sort of like to be close to transportation so what request would you make if you could only make one? I was thinking "close to the lobby" or "close to transportation" etc. Would being centrally located (busses, pool, Mara) be near the lobby? When you make requests what are they and why. I know this question depends a lot on personal preferences so thanks for responding...if it were Jambo I would know exactly what to ask for!:goodvibes

Oh and happy Friday to all!!

HAPPY REAL FRIDAY!!!

Hey! I teach English and Algebra- what do I need to know the correct order of the days of the week for?!? "WHEN WILL I EVER USE THIS?" :rotfl2:

sorry for the premature Doming!!!

:rotfl:

I keep hearing awesome things about the Kidani pool, I need to search for pictures. So, is it worth packing up 2 kids, grandparents, stroller, cooler, etc... How far are we talking????

I can just see my husband now, "You want to do what!?!?! Leave this perfectly awesome pool to go where!?!?!?" lol....

Well, I think the kiddos would LOVE the Kidani play area - I'll see if I can locate some pics for you. AND, you can EASILY pack up everyone and drive over - OR check the front desk, they have golf carts that run back and forth during the day - that might be an option. But, YES, I feel it would be worth it - after all, if the kiddos are happy, then mommy is happy and if mommy is happy, then everybody's happy - at least that's what DH says!!!! :confused3 :rolleyes1 (check out this site, there are pics of Kidani's pool - http://www.aklresort.com/category/image-galleries/animal-kingdom-villas?page=6 --- look at page 7 too!!

Thanks for the domes, but, uhhhh yeah.................... how'd THAT happen????? and Yeah, I can help you out - when do I need to be packed by????? :goodvibes

....uhhh, WHAT???!?!?!

I have a friend who offered 3 nights since I didn't feel good when we were there. So she offered to pay for 3 nights. She is a great friend. Now I am trying to find out a good time to go. I would like to add on a few nights with it. 3 nights just doesn't seem to be enough!

So here's the deal. I have a room for 3 nights. It is a room only offer. I want to take the kids because I really want to make it better than the other trip. I would like 2 days to just be resort days. I will add on 5 more nights, hopefully still at AKL, but I really need to budget and we will be in a smaller room and I don't want anyone to start to not be happy, if you know what I mean. So here are my questions...

1. When would you go, what is the best time? I have to be able to bring the kids one in college, one in high school with missing the least number of days of school as possible. Missing none would be the best.

2. I was thinking Dec 23 - Dec 30, the 8 days after Thanksgiving or the third week of June. The 3rd week of June would be the best for the kids, but I kinda feel greedy and want to see the holiday decorations.

3. This will most likely have to be next year, so if I had to change resorts we could try the new Animation one. Remember I don't really want to move, but I will have to be reasonable.

4. I don't think I can budget over 4,000.00. Actually 3,000.00 would be even better. I LOVE the DDP. Too many great restaurants. We do MYW tickets with waterparks/more so the boys can golf, but I could do without if I have to.

5. I really could use honest answers, if holidays really suck, tell me. So how would you use these days?

Thanks.

Not sure if this will help your decision or not, but my family absolutely loves the holidays at WDW and we've done it many times! :cloud9: We have a high-schooler who will graduate in May. We usually go 12/17-24 (heading home on Christmas Eve). We did spend one Christmas Day in Epcot (2006) and it was one of our favorite Christmases ever!

By 12/23 the crowds are pretty large and the week between Christmas and New Years is the busiest week of the year at WDW. That week is also one of the most expensive times (room cost plus "premiums" added to DDP). The 3rd week of June is also an expensive time, plus then there is the heat. :headache:

The week after Thanksgiving (historically) has been a great time to go: crowds are generally low, there are usually discounts available, the weather is great, PLUS the Holiday decorations are up!! :woohoo:

My vote (do I get a vote?!!! ;)) would be for the week after Thanksgiving! :thumbsup2

I totally agree with the above. :thumbsup2

....that's what I was thinking....:thumbsup2

....we spent Christmas Week at WDW twice - once (1999) we FROZE [ :cold: ] and once (2007) we didn't, so the weather is definitely a big factor, plus the cost is a major consideration.

Okay the week after Thanksgiving. That's a start, if we drive and anyone is on the way, I definitely have room in the mini-van. We are 4 and some hold 8. Is there a room at AKL that holds 8, and do you really want to be with a 16yo and 18yo. Hey, I say more the merrier, we could overtake the CLounge for 3 days. Hmmm what to do with the other 5 days. Would you all be willing to "contribute" for those extra days...

What's a girl to do. Poor DH, no Bday for him, all extra's are now on hold, and the vacation budget just doubled.:scared1::scared1:

Off to see what he kids have off this year. Could it possible? I might be able to see the decorations this year?:santa:

If not, then I have a good amount of time to save, but I would have to do a 4/5 day trip before that. I think it's time to talk

Annual Passes! Let the discussion begin.:upsidedow
