For those of you who are following our saga... Bob had a big day today. He got out of bed and into a wheelchair! We didn't get to go anywhere, but that is the most he has done in 7 weeks!

Hi. I'm Stace. I just booked AK-Jambo Deluxe Studio- Savannah today for Jun 2-5 (the first half of our family vacation). We've never stayed at Jambo (or AK at all for that matter) and I am really thrilled. I'm sorry if I just scooted into the conversation butt first- I have a habit of doing that.

I used my mom's droid when we went down in April and used the Lines app from Touring Plans. Its free with their yearly subscription and it was great on accurate times for the rides.

I mentioned that months ago, does anyone listen to me Just teasing. I used to listen to it all the time! Now I'm at work both times it airs.

what time would you arrive at Jambo on arrival day, if you could get there any time you wanted? (I live in Daytona ) I'd like to get there early (like 7:30 or 8AM) but then I've heard that I should not count on my studio being ready anytime before 4PM. So what would you do in the meantime? What park would you go to? We have annual passes and a TIW card so we're ready to hit the ground running.

Ideas?

My aunt lives in Ormond, we typically drive in a day or two before we check in at the lodge and spend time with her - we usually leave around 8 - 9ish - depending - then we check in, check our bags with bell services and we hit downtown disney (to get all the BIG shopping out of the way - DS LOVES the lego store) then we have lunch somewhere, either there or at one of the resorts - we LOVE to resort hop - and explore, do some more shopping, etc..... by then, the room is usually ready, we head back, unpack a little, clean up ourselves a little, then head to wherever we are having dinner - then we usually head back to the lodge and explore a little, maybe hit the pool for a bit, just RELAX and settle in - so the next day we can hit a park or two or four!!! LOL

BUT, of course, you can do whatever you feel like - that's just what we do! That's the BEST part of having AP's + hoppers, we don't feel like we have to go to a park right away! Either way, have a blast and make sure you ENJOY the resort - so many don't do that - that's why WE all love it so much, it's such a great place to just look around at - then there's the food of course, and SO many fun activities - and if you want to do nothing but sit by the pool and have a cocktail............ hey, you can do that too!!!!! We do!!! Enjoy!

OMG - this MUST be rectified IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zebra Domes my darling are THE Jamborini's dessert - the are decadant little cake like treats with Chocolate AND Amarula liquor - and they are DIVINE - the are a MUST when you go to the lodge - and here, every friday is Zebra Dome Friday - someone supplies them for ALL of us to enjoy - and drool over and looooooooooooooooooooooong for!!!!

So, here's your first taste - Enjoy!!!!

Been chatting with Wendy on another thread and she recommended I hop over here and say hi....

I am an AKL rookie, booked for end of September. We are traveling from Ohio and staying 5 days (mon-friday). My parents are coming to help with the kids (5 & 14 months when we travel).

I would love to hear about the pools & kids activities. We are only doing a couple of park days as I want to relax some and explore AKL. Plus, the guys want to do golf one day haha....

It's going to be a long 6 months....can't wait!!!

JAMBO!!!!!!!!!! Glad you made it over here!!! I can tell you that both pools are awesome, but I'm betting your little one's would LOVE the pool over at Kidani. The water play area is SO cool. I'm hoping someone has an updated activities list......... and will post that for you - but, one thing they'd prob. enjoy is the Zawadi Primal Parade........ DS loved doing that when he was younger.

I keep hearing awesome things about the Kidani pool, I need to search for pictures. So, is it worth packing up 2 kids, grandparents, stroller, cooler, etc... How far are we talking????
