If she had just said they had rehearsed the ceremony together, said their vows to each other and considered the three days in advance as their real wedding date even when it wasnt legal, then it wouldnt look so stupid. Everyone can understand that if your wedding costs 30 million pound and is broadcasted worldwide, that you want something for the two of you. To get to what it is all about. So Meghan is either totally clueless about what a wedding ceremony actually is or she's a liar or a little of both.
Or maybe she's just a fool. I mean, how dumb do you have to be to go on basically world wide TV making a claim like that knowing full well that your version of the truth would be scrutinized. It was only a matter of time before somebody talked to someone high up in the Church of England about it.
So Meghan is either totally clueless about what a wedding ceremony actually is or she's a liar or a little of both.
I assumed as much as well, however, I prefer to believe he didn't. Because if he did, that doesn't look good on him, because A. he is okay with his wife trashing his family, and B. again, it shows he is not the brightest candle in the box, as he clearly didn't listen properly to match his story with her.oopsy -- missed this one -- review of the interview on Canadian news (CTV is a privately owned company, but isn't very different ideologically from our federally owned broadcaster CBC)
I tend to agree with everything she said. I wish they had had time for her to go into detail about the "numerous holes" in their statements.
I heard that Harry was listening to the entire interview, so he did know what Meghan had said before he was put on camera. I guess he was ok with what she said because they were actually able to finish the interviews. So strange -- I don't think that's normal. For me this is really about why Harry turned on his family.

Yes, she looked stunning on her wedding day! She certainly is a beautiful woman!Brace yourselves - I am going to say something complimentary! I don't know whose idea it was, but I LOVED Meghan's veil. Whomever decided to have all of the flowers from the commonwealth embroidered was a genius. I think it was absolutely stunning.

I agree with youAs she was previously married, I would think she'd know all about the marriage ceremony. In double-checking my memory, it was noted her dress in that ceremony resembled Kate Middleton's gown for the wedding reception:

...whether she looked "royal" wearing jeans...
... or clarify who made whom cry over flower girl dresses

Angela Levin’s comments were interesting to me, since she interviewed Harry for the book, Conversations with the Prince. Takeaways for me were her describing the couple as self absorbed and the interview including sob stories. She certainly was direct. She also thinks Meghan is in control of Harry and that Harry has always been second to William, now he is second to Meghan. I think of it as being a sidekick but maybe that’s an American thing. Angela Levin’s comment that Meghan didn’t try to understand the RF as she figured out pretty early it wasn’t for her, but that Harry was raised by his parents to have a strong sense of duty to the Monarchy. It makes sense to me, even though I am American.
It makes sense to me too, and I like that she elaborated on that by saying that Diana had also raised him to have a sense of duty -- clearly she did. She continued on with her work after the divorce, even though I suppose she didn't have to. Sarah didn't.
I haven't kept up with this thread - what's this about jeans? Many members of the royal family wear jeans often! Especially Kate, for example.

At that point Sarah was pretty roundly reviled by everyone; the RF, the British press and the public, with the very odd exception of Prince Andrew himself. Her relocation to America was kind of an informal exile. There was no future for her having any positive impact on her causes or patronages. Her divorce settlement was also nothing like Diana's although the Queen apparently provided a large trust fund for Beatrice and Eugenie from her personal accounts. Cobbling together whatever income she could, from what turned out to be some very unwise ventures, was a necessity. It makes sense to me too, and I like that she elaborated on that by saying that Diana had also raised him to have a sense of duty -- clearly she did.
