Is it ok to request housekeeping at a certain time each day?

We have a little one who needs an afternoon nap and was hoping for housekeeping to come between 8-11:30am. Is this something that they can do?

Yes. But request this AS SOON AS YOU CHECK IN, or maybe even before. Follow up by phone from your room with housekeeping. Be polite but firm. They may not guarantee it but it's your best shot.

When I stayed at AKL, I asked my housekeeper if she could clean in the a.m. as we left the room, and she said she'd try. But when we came back at 3, the room wasn't cleaned because "something came up."

I agree with the previous poster, you can always request it, but there can be no way to guarantee it. If your room hasn't been cleaned by the time you return, hang the do not disturb sign out during the nap so you won't be disturbed. After she's done napping, give housekeeping a call and see when they plan on stopping by then. I've tried this many times, having traveled to WDW MANY times with infants and usually I'm disappointed. Oh well......

When you arrive, call Housekeeping right away and make your request. Do not ask the Mousekeeper who happens to do your room one day. You really need to talk with the supervisor. That person will put your request onto their computer system and schedule accordingly.

We are early risers and like to come back for an afternoon siesta. I have always requested early housekeeping and have never had a problem. They usually ask when you'll be out of the room (in the old EE days we'd by out by 7:00). The more time you give them, the more likely they can accommodate you. The 3.5 hours you have should work great. It's the people who say "we'll probably be out by 10:00 and and want to come back for a noon nap" who will be disappointed.
