Is it normal for a 4 yo to be preoccupied with death?

My ds talks about it all the time. He asks a lot of questions about dying. The other day he asked me if he was going to die. I said that everyone dies eventually. He said, well what about Disney World?! (we are going in June and I guess he thought we wouldn't make it). Sometimes he tells me that it is sad when someone dies. He asked me yesterday if animals die. Is this normal? (ds #1 and dd have not asked these kinds of questions about death).

If noone close to him has died recently my question would be if he watches the news. It certainly has been preoccupied with death lately.

My older DD asked many more questions about life and other deep topics when she was younger. Just part of how she thinks. My younger DD asks how everything works
