or are the bathrooms at DL and DCA not being kept as clean as they were? I wouldn't even mention it but my wife said it to me and I had been thinking it, too.

Dirty toilets, toilet paper on the floor, wet sinks, bad smells, overflowing trash cans, etc. Has anyone else noticed this lately?

Roy

Could that toilet paper get any thinner?? You know that piece of "Airgel" that they have over in Tomorrowland?...the one that is billed as the "lightest weight substance next to air in existence"
Well, the DL toilet paper may be the new winner of that title. What is it, an atom or two thick??

Roy, we have traveled from Northern CA 5 (?) times this year to DLR, we have not noticed any significant problems with bathroom cleanliness. I have not seen an overflowing can or dirty toilet or sink areas.

I will agree with you on the toilet paper thing though....but
I have no expectation for Disney to keep my wiping experience snuggly soft either. :D

I am trying to think of a major institution with this many patrons that has good TP.

The last couple of times we have went to DL I have been in the bathroom three times. Once, it was the one behind the bank on Main Street. Another time, it was the one by Ghepetto's Restaurant and lastly, it was the one in the San Francisco area of DCA. All three times (over a three week period) the restrooms were noticeably dirtier than I have remembered. I just ignored it but then my wife said, "Boy, the womens restrooms have sure been dirtier lately." Anyway, I hope it's just a fluke.

Roy,
I do agree with you - when we were there last weekend I noticed that both the bathrooms at DL and DCA were grundgy and pretty bad. I just chalked it up to being such a busy weekend but if you noticed it too there maybe another issue.
I also notice it because I use the changing tables for my son and it seemed that they too were messy which is very unusual - in the past 2 years since he was born and we have been taking him with us to DL I have always found the changing areas to be very well kept.
Hope this isn't a trend starting!

Yeah, I know what you mean...my wife's chief complaint was with the changing tables and the trash cans. The men's bathroom's just looked as if no one had cleaned them in awhile. Either they're cutting back on employees, or the employees that they're hiring aren't maintaining the bathrooms up to Disney standards. I sure hope this isn't a new trend too.

We were there in Oct. and I think we used 2 bathroom that I can think of. The one by main street just past closing time, was very clean. There was a CM in there cleaning it and I had to change my dd on the changing table. The CM layed a fresh towel/cloth thing down when she saw I was headed there. She also helped my 3 year old get up on the toilet and helped her w/ her pants. I was thankful as I was the only one w/ my 2 girls and it would have been a handful if the CM wasn't so helpful.

The other one we used was the one in DCA by FFF. I thought it was clean, but it was only 1 hour after opening. My complaint, and I told the CM this too, is the changing table is so short. My DD legs went up the wall, because there wasn't enough room for her to streach out. She is only 22 months and not abnormally tall. It seemed like the changing tables were made for infants and not almost pre pottytraining toddlers.

Maybe we were just lucky, but I never encountered a dirty restroom in Disneyland or DCA at all.

Then get back to Houston and have to try 8 stalls before I find a clean one. Welcome home. :( I miss Disneyland.

We were ther two weekends ago, and I thought the same thing. I noticed more than one bathroom that was just plain dirty.

WELL i must agree that a soft wipe is the most important thing of the day... i dont really want sandpaper against my baby bottom....
