Is it me or....

:sad2:

Is there any better way of celebrating your toddler's birthday than getting drunk and forgetting about him? :sad2:

No, the family is not under-reacting................they're DOWNPLAYING!!!! The father was so drunk he doesn't know why he left his car somewhere before reaching home. His mom had to wake up to let him in during the wee hours because, after walking the rest of the way home, he was too drunk to know where his keys were. When she asked him where the boy was, he was too drunk to answer and the grandma assumed that the kid had stayed with his mom. When he got up the next day, he had no idea where his car was or where the kid was. The family had to go driving around the neighborhood looking for the car and the kid. So.................it's not that the family isn't taking it seriously. It is that it is the father's own fault that this all occurred and they are protecting him - making like it's not that big of a deal. It's almost as if, since the boy was found safe, that their son really didn't do anything wrong. :confused3

Well, in his defense, he only took "a couple-a cases of beer to the party".

:sad2:

Yup all over local news. Drinking and driving - VERY BAD. Drinking and driving with a baby in the car? Even worse. LEAVING your baby in the car because you're too damn drunk to think straight??? Unforgivable......

The "father" should be in jail...

Only a couple of cases of beer? Why was there any?

This was a 2 yr old's birthday party. At a childs birthday party aren't you suppost to be celebrating in a way that is fun for the child? I don't think most 2 yr olds want a frat party.

I maybe alone in this but I feel there is no reason for there to be alcohol at a childrens party period. If the parents want alcohol they need to throw a party of their own when there are no kids around.

yeah theyre underreacting.

When are some people growing up? He was in his 30s!!! Not that being under 30 is an excuse AT ALL but shouldnt you have SOME sort of life experience at this stage to think "maybe driving with my kid in the car while Im SO wasted I can barely stumble home isnt the best life choice I could have made today"

wow. Even if it were my brother I would be screaming from the rooftops. I hope the lock him up and the poor baby gets the support he needs!

Ok Heres a question If he was too drunk to remember about the baby
WHEN DID HE PUT THE BABY IN THE CAR!!!!!!!!

Yep, what she said.

Wow, drinking and driving and then leaving your baby in a car. I'm not quite sure which is worse.:sad2:

Yep! Are there going to be charges against him? Child endangerment? Something, anything! Can't get him for drunk driving now but they can get him for "losing" the baby.

and "only 2 cases of beer" :confused3
