By my calculations, I'm 5 months overdue for a holiday. This normally (and currently) manifests itself in decreasing communication skills. I lose my ability to speak intelligently. You don't want to know some of the brilliant nonsense I've come out with today. Does lack of vacation impair anyone else's speech function? 2 weeks is just too long.

Hi Mortlives,

Me too!!!! I know I am starting to burn out at work. :crazy2:

I work 6 days this week and 5 days next week in a Dental Office. This is my normal 2 week work rotation.

I am spending all my spare time at home on these boards planning, planning, planning for the upcoming trip and wishing that the time to leave for WDW would come quicker. :disrocks:

I went to "Tim's" the other day and asked for a "Coffin and Muffie"???? :confused3

The server looked at me a bit odd :scratchin , then laughed :rotfl: .

I got my Coffee and Muffin as ordered. :cheer2:

B-T-W it is my 50th in October and I think I may just plan a Birthday Trip!!!! :cheer2:  :hourglass

Don't worry, your WDW time is near!!!! :flower3:

Funny you should be asking this!

I talked with one of the drivers' from the courier that we use at work and got to takin' vacations since the powers that be left this morning for their cruise. Well all I could think of was how it was suppose to be me but due to the fact that I switched to the Panama Cruise, it was a no can do!

Derek mentioned that his Dad was going on his first vacation in 5 years! I laughed! Saying I go Nuts if I don't go at least every few months!LOL

I was talking to my boss today, saying that If we had not done DVC on our last cruise, then I would have been on the Magic this week as well. Spent my breaks reading a cruise report from the week of my brithday.

I can't wait for my next vacation, then it will be over 18 months to the double dip cruise. I really have get something going for next January or late spring.

:hourglass although this vacation isn't a WDW one...it sure seems slower than the rest of the timers getting here ....tick..........tick.........................tick

maybe I should redo my timer now for the next WDW one :wizard:

Thanks, everyone. Glad I'm not the only one.

As an aside, Wendy, Cancun totally rocks! Are you doing any side trips while you're there? We loved Coba, Tulum, Aktunchen and Xel Ha.

Yes, I think we're going to do only 1 day side trip to Chichen Itza. I'm also interested in Xcaret Eco Park....but this vacation is for DH who just wants to sitting on the beach and do NOTHING. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

After 4 commando vacations I don't know if I can do that :confused3

Hello Iluvwesties, :teeth:
Re a possible birthday trip for your nest milestone birthday  a birthday at WDW is just the thing to keep you feeling :goodvibes. I was at WDW for my 50th in Dec and PhotobearSam made my Birthday holiday so full of :wizard: and :rotfl: that I honestly didn't mind turning the Big 50!! My DD Katdb was also able to join us for a few days so I was really on :cloud9:.
I picked up ' Today is my Birthday pins' at the various guest services and its so much fun to have people staff and strangers wish you a :bday: all day long!! Plus at every character meal I was given a :cake: with a candle which was fun, though chocolate cake for breakfast is very new to me!!
So if you are thinking of a Birthday at WDW....go for it

Also to Mortlives, 5 weeks after a vacation, I feel like another one. Maybe, I should start planning something soon !!

Have a great weekend everyone :wave2:

Thanks Wenabre,

I have been thinking about the 50th and my daughter keeps asking me where I would like to go, she has suggested England (I am originally from England) or California (maybe for the 50th celebration at DL) or somewhere else. :scratchin

I know I would like to have a "special" birthday and WDW keeps coming to mind, after all it is a "magical" place :wizard: .

I still haven't decided for sure, but once I have I'll set up a countdown timer.

B-T-W, Love your furry friends, as you can tell by my username, I have one of my own (MacKenzie - 11months old, a small white dynamo on legs!!!) :jumping1:

Thanks for the encouragement :flower3: ,
Talk to you soon!

Wendy, Have you been to Cancun before? If not, I'm sure you will love it. The Chichen Itza trip is great too. Not much shade though and lots of walking, so if you are going on a really hot day, make sure to take some water with you. If DH wants to sit back and totally relax, theres so many day trips you could do. IMHO, Cancun is incredibly safe. I spent a lot of time on my own while DH was diving and doing crazy things like jungle tours, racing in boats etc. I never felt unsafe at all. Also, I don't like shopping, but if you are interested in shopping, o my gosh, Cancun is the place for you.

Have a great time.
