I have a reservation this summer: 1st day DVC cash 2nd day DVC points(GFV) and then 3rd day-10th day DVC points(BLT)
So, I have three reservation numbers. I called to book my dining today and was told I can only book for the first day. The system doesn't link all my reservations and I will need to book my dining when each day opens up for each reservation. I have to wait till Friday to complete my dining. We are going with another family and they are all booked.(booked this morning)
Maybe it's me, but I find this unacceptable. I should be able to book my whole trip starting today. Asked to speak to a supervisor and then their supervisor- His name was Angel and he actually asked me if I could just get 1 reservation number because that would help me book them all today. "no kidding" "sounds like a great idea"

I should not be aggravated at 7am trying to book a vacation for the summer-something is wrong with this picture.

Anyone else experience this?

Couple of questions:
Did you book the cash reservation through MS or CRO?
Are the cash reservation and the first DVC reservation at the same resort and same room type?

I had a split stay one time and the CM when I called told me the same thing. I simply called back and spoke with another CM and it worked fine.

I do not understand your question. You do not even need a resort reservation to make a dining reservation. It just needs to be 180 days. And outside of Be Our Guest, and maybe Cinderellas caste, and Norway, its not that far out

I dont think you can make reservations 184 days out no matter what. (Even if its part of a reservation that is WITHIN 180 days). I would imagine the same holds true for fast pass, and 60 days

The fact that your reservations are not linked is irrelevant. It is that you are more than 180 days out.

(I once went to book a ADR in the process, the date got reset to the current day. I got an email saying I had dinner at Cape May Cafe THAT night, and I was in NJ, so I was not going to be able to make it! Point is, I did not have a resort reservation.)

If you have a resort reservation, you are supposed to be able to book all your ADRs 180 days from the first day. It used to be 180+10 days but now it is supposed to be the entire trip. The OP has a 10 day trip and should technically be able to book all the ADRs at 180 days from the first day.

Ah...I see. Given that, I can understand the frustration and aggravation!

OP...Do not let it ruin your day! To me planning is part of the fun. Go back tomorrow and friday.

Does the same thing apply to fast passes?

It does apply to FP+ but due to the way the system is set up, I believe the same thing will happen. The computer will only allow the OP to book for check-in and check-out day for one day stays. At 60 days from the longer stay, though, the OP should be able to book for the remainder of the trip.

From my experience, the outcome depends on the cast member that answers the call. Sometimes, it is a no, while, on other occasions, the cast member is able to see all of the reservations and book the full stay. I would suggest calling back.

I had a 3 way split stay, called and talked to 3 different CM's to add reservations, all prior to the 18-0 day mark, with no issues so YES, you should be able to book all your ADR's today.

OMG !!! Update to this issue...

I decided to call Member Services and spent 30 minutes waiting for someone to pick up. I spoke to the most friendly CM, Paris, and she was able to help me. She didn't understand why I was not able to get the reservations this morning when I called Disney Dining, but she helped me and I am most grateful for that.

So, if this should happen to someone else, please call Member Services- thanks for the suggestions to keep calling back.

It really is a shame that there isn't consistency when calling Disney- I'm happy that I didn't wait till Friday to try to book my reservations.

Hope this may help someone else…...

Disney is nothing if not inconsistent, those that can't accept it shouldn't play. That's not to say there aren't thing that can and should be worked on but just that many things are going to bother individuals that will either never be fixed, fixed in a way that causes other issues or fixed so late that one has moved on from that issue (and possibly sold in some cases).

One thing to note and likely the reason for your issues is that you have 3 totally separate reservations. You may have to actually have to check in again on day 2 at the GF as you're currently set up.

We had to book individual nights over Thansgiving, which was a fiasco!
