Is it just me?

I know you're being sarcastic, but what you just described is the EXACT flaw in the system (at Epcot at least.) Because there are only 2 headliners in the park, both are bound to have absurd standby times. Before, you could get FP's for both and avoid them both. Now, if you want to ride both, you're waiting in at least one of them, and if you're lucky, that wait will only be an hour.

True. But to me it's not a big deal. And I know I'm the minority here. We're staying 7 days, so if I get that one headliner after hopping to Epcot in the evening and theres a wait for the other headliner then I'll do the second headliner another day.

EDIT- Honestly, I'm happy just being able to go to Disney. We never expected to go so soon, we figured it would be another 5-10 years. I'm not about to get all worked up over first world problems and getting my panties in a bunch over the MB, FP+ stuff. Our first trip was under 2 days in length and we did every headliner in every park and sooooo much more with just 2 FP-s the entire trip. I'm happy to know that I can have some things already scheduled before I get there.

Hey, if it works for you, then who cares what anyone else thinks? It's all about the individual and how they like to tour the park.

In other words, you've just lost an hour of your vacation time that you would have otherwise had.

How is this a good thing?

That isn't true if you get to the park at opening. Go right to the one you don't have a FP for and then go to the other one. If the line is too long, you use your FP for it, whether it's on that day or a different one.

If you're visiting for more than 3 or 4 days, which most people who post here do regularly, you should have no problem riding each of those two at least once, especially if you are willing to do single rider at TT.

With paper FP, if you hopped to Epcot after noon on a day that was at all busy, you probably weren't getting a FP for EITHER Soarin or TT, much less both.

Sorry for the use of all caps. I'm on my phone and can't bold. I'm not yelling. :)

THAT IS OUR EXACT PLAN!

I REALLY DONT SEE WHY WE WONT BE ABLE TO DO ALL HEADLINERS AT EACH PARK WITH OUR TIME FRAME.

WHICH IS WHY IM HAPPY TO HAVE THE FP+ OPTION. IT MAKES EVENING HOPPING "WORTH IT" INSTEAD OF GETTING THERE AND FINDING OUT ALL FP-S WERE GONE AT NOON.

For joy... "First-world problems" again.

Oh no. I'm sorry! I don't frequent the FP+ threads too much. I'm now assuming that term been brought up before and has caused trouble. I don't mean to cause a fight. I'm just explaining how I feel. :(

I am reserving judgement on the whole MM+ program since I expect it to be fully operational by the time I go. For those for whom FP+ puts a crimp in their touring style, I understand the negativity. For those who feel FP+ enhances their enjoyment of the parks, I can see that too...especially when they explain their reasons. I also know my touring style and, unfortunately, I still have no clue how this will impact me. The main reason is because the impact of FP+ on standby lines has yet to be determined. That is still what I am waiting to know.

I do notice the extremes are well represented on the message boards. Positive "just back" threads tend to be moved to trip reports though so it may seem like a disproportionate number of negatives. Just look for the multiple exclamation points!!!!

I read most threads regarding the roll-out of this program though. It gives me a better perspective. :flower3:

99.9999999999999999999% of the things discussed here are first world problems. See how much a starving child in a third world country cares that BoG ADRs are hard to get, that refillable mugs have RFID chips, that people lie to pay less for their kids, that people want to sneak an extra person into a hotel room or what Universal Studios is building.

The site would have to shut down if people didn't "get their panties in a bunch" over first world problems. The term first world problems is obnoxious and condescending.

I hear that. I have been to WDW many times myself. Like I said a few posts ago, I was definitely skeptical. But after using it, I was surprised at how much I did enjoy knowing what time my return times were when I started my day. It made it easier to park hop, which is something we weren't big fans of in the past. Everyone is certainly different but after my own experience I'm definitely saying "don't knock it til you try it".

We never hop.

What else have you got?

In the past, you could have done Epcot first, gotten FPs for both TT and Epcot, then hopped over to MK where you were highly likely to find FPs for everything you wanted to ride.

I did my share of waiting in line at DLR last week. They have fewer attractions even on FP. It wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

I still greatly enjoyed our trip, mostly because there were so many options in such close proximity to choose from. That is definitely not the case with EP, DHS or AK.

You get to go to Epcot knowing in advance you can see Captain EO!! No more rushing at rope drop :cool1:

Well, there's that. ;)

Shocking, I know..... but we walked past that attraction at DLR many times last week and never did see a line. :) I'm still trying to recover from experiencing it in 2010 though.

Yes, but with all that riding and hopping, you're not shopping...

I hate it when people knock Captain EO. I mean seriously, that area in front is a great place to relax and have a mickey bar or a pretzel from the cart. There's never a crowd and you can always find a place to sit. :thumbsup2
Highly underrated IMHO.

People who can't hop and shop are lightweights. :) I almost almost had to leave behind our dirty clothes at DLR so we could fit in all of our new treasures.
