When I took my GK I gave them $10 in Disney dollars each day to spend or save as they wanted. They ended up coming home with leftover Disney dollars. And I didn't hear "I want xxxxx." All day long.

I have to buy there. My snow globes 2 to 3 each trip. We don't have a target or Disney store here so when we go to DW it makes the buying all the better. The boys are saving for our 09 trip so that will be their money and and Dh and I only buy items like tshirts or things with the year of the trip. But I must have snow globes

For those who might not know, most of the merchandise you see in the theme parks and resorts can actually be purchased at the WOD store at DTD. A lot of people find that easier to do, since they don't have to look around in the shops at the parks and carry bags with them, etc. (though you could have the stuff shipped to your room if staying on property). The only exceptions would be resort specific merchandise (like mugs, shirts etc.) and sometimes, the parks will have ride specific merchandise you might not always be able to find at DTD.
