In the old Disney Quest in Chicago (and possibly at the one in Orlando, though I've not been there) there was a game/shopping opportunity based on Sid - the neighbor kid from Toy Story. On a computer screen, you put together various toy parts making your own "creation." You could just play on the computer or, if you liked, you pressed a button to order your toy and then went back to a counter where a team of Cast Members snapped together all the pieces and, voila, your toy was made reality for you to take home. (For a price.)

Well, what if they took the same technology and put it in VMK Central at the parks so that we could build and purchase versions of our VMK avatars? Create (or recreate) your character on the screen: gender, skin tone, hair and clothes ... then push the button. The CM's snap together the appropriate pieces and you have an instant version of yourself.

I would totally buy one of these. What about you folks?

Aww, my green friend, where DO you find the time for these ideas?! :rotfl2:

Actually, it is a pretty cool idea, I would buy one..except for the worry that if my virtual purple feathers are being burned, plucked, etc., what would happen to a "real" toy of the duck?? Now, let's put that together with your comment about it having been Sid... (OUCH! big time!)
:lmao: :teeth: :lmao:

I would totally buy one. What sort of size though? If it was like a doll you could get different clothes for it and mix and match :thumbsup2

Oh my... now who would do such a thing as that??? :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Take the idea one step further.....put in the Pal Mickey idea and it could give you inside scoop on what's coming up in VMK. (reliable info) That would definitely be worth the credits......VMK staff, are you listening?

Wow. I'm just amazed to find someone else who has been to the
DisneyQuest in Chicago before it closed. :)

I remember the "build a toy" area. I think it would rock to have an avatar
of my character, about the size of the Mr. Potato Head so I could put
her on my desk at work. (And my coworkers can find something new to
poke fun at.)

Woot! Briar, add me to the list! :cool1: We were there right after they added the POTC attraction, and had a blast! Never got a chance to go back before it closed...

And Simba, those would be so cool to trade with friends!! (psst - I'll give you two of these stinky Due dolls for one of those rockin Simba dudes -) :rotfl2:

OMG, I had so totally not even thought about the possiblity of collecting the dolls of all of our VMK friends. This is a license to print money.

Disney, are you listening?????

Yay I want a Simba doll. :rotfl2:

It could be the new Pokemon.

Imagine it.......

What would a Yavn go for on EBay? :rotfl2:

Would they come with accessories?

i.e. little clip on speech bubbles

Of course every one would come with stock phrases.

"Sorry I'm taken"

"No I am not trading inferno"

Oh, the insanity of it all! Disney could just take this and run with it! :Pinkbounc

I like it, I like it. :lmao:

I have to have a clip on emoticon though -->

I might buy one.
As long as they have velcro pins to stick on and great friends like you guys :)

how weird the other day i had a dream about a vmk doll, it was kinda crazy dream......i rather not talk about it........

Woot! I didn't go there when they added POTC. One thing I do remember
is going there during the Cows on Parade in Chicago. The cow in front of
DQ had a hidden Mickey on it. :)

I also picked up a bunch of DisneyQuest Chicago pins for pin trading at WDW.
Those traded well. I wonder if the extra pin or two I have left would trade
well now. :)

And the idea of collecting friends is brilliant, unless the friends are like me.
I change clothes every so often, so you'll need a Barbie-sized wardrobe to
keep my avatar happy. ;)

Disney printing money? Hmm, do Disney Dollars ring a bell? :rotfl2:
