for trips during school holidays.

Firstly apologies for not being on for ages, me and my other half have brought our first house so havent been able to afford a trip recently so stayed away to stop getting depressed lol.

Anyway still cant afford to go but my mum wants to get away somewhere for a few days as dads on buisness and as she is a teacher it has to be in the school holidays. Shes actually retiring this year but wants to go away in July as its when my dads away. Ive priced up from the 17th July but it just seems so so expensive especially when I know I can go in September for a quarter of the price.

So really dont know what im asking but does anyone think there will be anything better than 25% off that they have now?

Also thought about staying offsite and getting AP's does anyone have the price for these?

Thanks in advance for reading and all your answers. :thumbsup2

Yes your right, it is this year. The Pound to the Euro rate did not help us when the prices were set. But there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The Independent reported yesterday that Chief Executive, Philippe Gas, is keen for the British market to grow and they want to sell packages in pounds rather than Euros, giving British tourists a hedge against currency fluctuations.

Can anyone help please? :)

You have 4 AP's going from 99€ (Classic) to 199€ (Dream). It depends on when you are going as 3 of the 4 have blackout dates. The Dream is the only one that gives you entry 365 days.

I have no idea where they are on the UK site but here's the link to the French one.

You can always run the page through a translation site :goodvibes

Someone in the UK will come along and help more on hotels and UK offers as I have no idea, never had needed to reserve anything

Hth :)

We already buy in pounds though?? Ireland are a Euro zone.....and our packages work out better than theirs most of the time......

Thanks for this. My french isnt too bad an see the cheapest AP's dont block out our dates, however couldnt tell if you cant use them the day you get them?

Im looking at possibly staying at the Kyriad as thats the cheapest option. Has anyone stayed here before? Also is there any transport from the hotel to val d'europe? I like staying on site really but its just so expensive.

you can use any AP the day you buy them, even if that date is usually a blackout date for your AP. For the Classic and Francillien passes though, you can't use either on day 2 and 3 after you've bought them.

The Kyriad gets a lot of great reviews from members here :). I don't know about getting to val d'Europe straight from the hotel - but you could use the free park shuttle and then take the one stop on the train which takes you straight to Val d'Europe.

You can use them the day you get them even if it's a blackout day but you then can't use the 2 cheapest (Classic and Francillien) for the 2nd and 3rd day. So depending on what time you have and what you were doing the best option might be a Fantasy.

If you were coming for a week and also planning on going to Paris say you could buy the cheapest and use it that day and the following 2 days go into Paris etc and then use the pass on the 4th/5th/6th/7th day

There's a Kyriad thread

and if you do a Search lots more posts will come up.

There is a navette from the hotel to Val d'Europe but I don't think it's free

Thank you for your help. Its nice to know the Kyraid gets good reviews as really its the only cheap option available. I found it for £71 a night on their own website.

Think the plan is for a day/night in London before hand and now 3 days/2nights in Disney. Will probably just stick to buying 2 day hoppers though as they are cheaper and if I come back with my boyfriend again its likely we will stay onsite when theres a 40% deal on.

Is there a val d'europe topic at all as never managed to get there before on my previous visits but hoping to on the day we arrive so would be interested in seeing whats there?

Thanks for reading and your help. When booked will be looking through all the food topics to decide where to eat....one of my fave things to do at disney.

Val d'Europe is a big shopping centre with a Auchan hypermarket and a load of shops, lots of clothes shops with some that you will know like Gap, H&M, Zara,Levis etc and then others that are French and I don't think in the UK at present like Camieu, Promod, Jacqueline Riu. Then you've got things like Sephora and Yves Rocher for beauty, the Fnac for CD's/dvds, sports shops plus loads of home decor style places and jewellery/watches etc etc

THere is a food court at the far end with a wide selection of food and prices.

A Sealife aquarium in the basement and the Vallée Village which is designer clothing-shoes-lifestyle/homestyle products is also through the doors at the far end.

They have a website where you can see the list of shops and the restaurants

That's the one for La Vallée Village

and Sealife

ps - And in this thread there's a bit on the restaurants to be found over there at Val d'Europe

We have booked to go (8 weeks and counting!!!) 10 July and we thought the prices were great for staying at a disney hotel - Cheyenne. This was my 2 sons choice as it is the cowboy theme.

They are converted into £'s & its the poor £ to € rate which has caused the prices to go higher. It seems what they are planning to do is start pricing straight in £ without converting it for the UK market
