bicker said:Hmm... let's see. Someone makes mean public comments about me sending them a mean private message about their mean public message about mean comments. What do you think?
Since Tinker74 elected to discuss a private message in public, I'll post the message for you here, so you can judge. Given the smiley, and the fact that instead of calling attention to Tinker74's initial mean message in public I sent my reply privately, I doubt any reasonable person would consider the message mean -- however regardless of the smiley, and regardless of the fact that it was sent privately, my message was surely not as mean as Tinker74's original message was.

I never said you did!Tinker74 said:Bicker I never said my post refered to you.....![]()
I actually didn't even think you did -- I just objected to the meanness of your message, generally towards people of conscience, regardless of who you directed it at. Are you a woman? Are you young? I don't know. Everyone is equal on the DIS. We're all members, and have to defend our own statements.I find it strange that a man of your age would send vicious PM's to a young woman to be honest.
And now everyone knows. I'm sorry if that embarasses you, but it was your choice to make our private discussion public. And we both know what you said in your PM.![]()
Didn't you already state earlier that you have me Ignored?Iam NOT going to reply to you..

I find it is the ones who go on and on about their owm integrity and morals and follow the rules how they see them to the Nth degree..who seem to lack the most basic levels of human compassion.![]()
They also seem to be severley intolorant of children..which is strange for disney lovers.![]()
My advice use your ignore button..If only we had one in real life..![]()

Or does the word GANG infer an ethnic slur?

Disney Doll said:Did some of the posts get deleted here?? I am totally confused as to how we got from the OP's post to here.
In any event, to drag this back to the OP's subject...I think that the holiday season is stressful for a lot of folks who are trying to have the "Hallmark holiday"...you know, smiling family gathered 'round the tree happily opening beautifully wrapped gifts as soft Christmas carols play in the background. Real life isn't like that, and the holidays don't change anything...they just add to the expectations. But, this additional stress tends to make somone "snappish" and may be interpreted by some as mean.
I also think that the Internet, being the anonymous venue that it is, makes people "braver"...folks who wouldn't normally say something nasty to you face-to-face (because they fear they'd get their butt kicked) will say it on the Internet because they know that that are "safe" due to the inherent anonymity.
In any event, there are a lot of nice folks here, I tend to ignore the idiots or consider the source when people are nasty...one has to think they are angry poor souls who must have a lousy life then I feel sorry for them because they are pathetic.
