Is it insane during Fantasmic to go on rides?

I am trying to plan a PS for BB for dessert around 9pm. I know Fantasmic will be going on at 9 and 10:30 that night. I was thinking of maybe finishing off the night with a single ride line on Splash and maybe doing Mansion. Just curious how nutty it is to walk around that area during that time. I saw Fantasmic ten years ago, and I remember the area was busy. I just wonder if the walk ways move.... I imagine the lines may not be so bad because people will be waiting/watching the show. :confused3

Thanks!

That whole area along the Rivers of America, in front of POTC and HM is like pure nut town. If you plan your PS at 9 and get there a little before and just hang out in NOS you will bypass that nuttyness before hand.. After you finish your dinner and when you get out of BB and go left instead of in front of Cafe Orleans and go past the staircase thing and go straight to Critter County, you should by pass most of the nuttyness. You'll have to go in front of HM, but that won't be that bad.. You should be fine..

I think other people will have more tips for you though!

You might consider FantasyLand and TomorrowLand during this time. Fantasyland was empty during the first Fantasmic showing when we were there in March. We had a 20 minute wait for the Nemo Submarines, which was the only time we saw it below 45 minutes.

Last April when I over looked the fact that the week of Easter would be a nightmare, and it was, with respects to very long wait times, at NOS and every where else for that matter, however when it came to the fireworks show, that was such a beautiful and wonderful time for I did not have to wait in a line anymore, not for POTC nor for HM, and after the show, the lines were next to nothing at all,the Blue Bayou was not crowded, during that time frame as well, for the same reason. And remember that the hours for the Blue Bayou coincide with the park hours, for example tonight the park is open until midnight, so therefore shall be the Blue Bayou.
That evening while walking back to NOS, from near the castle area, not long before the fireworks show, it was extremely crowded, as in fire hazard crowded, but that was o.k. with me, for I thought once again, oh good no lines at my most favorite rides, and I was right.
Good Luck! :)

That area is utterly miserable during Fantasmic. I would get out of BB, fight over to the train station and take the train to Anywhere Else.

While the area IS insane after F! (do NOT get caught in the masses after the show is out!!!!). We chose to go over that way several nights during the F show as everything was a walk on. Pirates, HM and Splash had NO lines at all... and my kids could ride the Winnie the Pooh ride over and over again without getting off. We also could watch the F! boats getting ready to go out, yell to the characters and have them wave and do a little show for us... which was kind of fun:) The monkey guys were great!

Just don't leave the area until the crowd clears!!

I've heard about that! Are you over by where the Hungry Bear is?? I think that would be pretty cool to watch!! We've seen Fantasmic 23507359 times, so we usually bypass it..

We got our spots for F! about 30-40 minutes before the show. Half of our group went to get food and when they came back our other half, ran and rode Pirates with no wait. It was awesome!

one reason I planned our Fantasmic Dessert Seating for the FIRST night we are there is so we would see the show from a GREAT seat the first time and then never have to watch it again if we didn't want to. I plan on riding rides during the show every other night we are there. (as far away from there as possible)
