Is it impossible to get bowl game tickets?

We would love to go to the Citrus Bowl this year but I am assuming tickets to bowl games are next to impossible to get, right? I know an alumni that would order tickets for me, if that would help. I assume alumni and students have first dibs and the brokers probably scoop up all the rest. Yeah, I am already pessimistic.

I don't know about that bowl - but wwe were looking at the tickets the BCS National championship game & there are plenty of tickets on stub hub - parking runs $60 - $80 & tickets are in the $700 range:scared1:

So in this case you can get the tickets if you have the money.

It's always possible to get tickets if you have the money! I went to the final game of the World Series this year and DH bought the tickets that day! :thumbsup2

I don't get it at all. The game was just announced today yet you can already buy tickets on places like stubhub and like you noted, they are marked up hundreds of dollars. How ridiculous.

Welcome to sports tickets pricing. My husband likes hockey. You don't even want to know how much prices are for Stanley Cup games, if the teams are good or played between the original 6 teams, it only goes up. My favorite is when standing room only tickets, so no seat, get over $1000.

Heck, face value, for a Wednesday night regular season game can now run more than $200.

Lucky for him I have a cheap habit, Disney. Seriously, by direct comparison Disney is a bargain.

We went to the Champs Bowl at the Citrus Bowl in 2006 when Maryland was in it. We had no trouble getting tickets. We waited until after the selections were made before buying tickets.

Did you want to go to the Champs Bowl or the Capital One Bowl? Both are held in the Citrus Bowl. I think you could easily get a ticket through conventional means to either of those games.

I knew the prices were ridiculous for sporting events but I was silly enough to assume they wouldn't get into the hands of the brokers until they at least went on sale to the public.

Capitol One game. You give me hope!

Look here. Tickets start at $45. I don't think that is too bad.
