Is it hot enough for you?

UGH. DS and I were out of the house and running errands by 9am and at that point it was in the high 80's with serious humidity. By the time we got home at 11, it was unbearable. DS didn't even want to play in the water! I'm ready for fall.

Right now it is 34 C, and with humidity it feels like 44 C. That translates to 111 F.

I just sent my son's soccer coach an email that DS would not be at practice tonight. It's just too friggin hot.

It's hot here but not as hot as other places~ we have an upcoming trip to Washington DC, so happy it's not this week!

Stay safe and cool everyone!

yes it is..I am loving this weather and hope it lasts all summer...my only regret is that I have to be inside at work instead of outside sitting on my deck or swimming...loved the weekend, it was amazing.

We just hit 100F here in Massachusetts, heat index of 106F.

Well its a beautiful 107 here today....but that is COOL for this time of year. We will be around 111 on Thursday.

but...low humidity makes all the difference for us:goodvibes

I like Celsius -- it makes me feel cooler.

It is 38 C in NYC right now!

No actually, it isn't. Its only 69°F. We had the CRAPPIEST 4th of July weekend. Cold (never above 70°), rainy, windy, just nasty. I am sure we all looked silly bundled up in parkas and rainjackets and blankets so we could watch the fireworks.

We have had a terribly cold, wet spring, and we here in the NW would just like for summer to START.

That's how our summer was last year so I should be thankful right now but I just can't take humidity...it just wipes me right out.

Ditto. I love it. I spent all weekend in the pool, out of the pool, in the pool, out of the pool. Now, if I were, say, a highway construction worker, I wouldn't be so enthusiastic. And I do miss running. I won't exert myself in this weather. But generally I find trying to stay cool to be way for fun than trying to stay warm.

It's absolutely perfect! It's 93 degrees right now with humidity probably around 10%. Summers in the southwest rock! :sunny:

Winters are also very mild here, too! :thumbsup2

I hear ya on the humidity. Not only does it wipe me out, but it makes me very, very cranky too. Around here we always say "It's not the heat, it's the humidity!".

Well, we have some clouds around right now so we are 92 with a 98 heat index.

So I say thank goodness for the break in the heat here.:lmao:

Guess I should step outside and water my wiliting plant.

It's 105 F here in Somerset County, NJ :scared1:and we're about to go into our pool. :thumbsup2

My poor younger DD was in basketball camp and she said that they ended up taking all the kids into the air conditioned gym but that it was still hot in there.

I don't even feel like cooking - any ideas for dinner?!

yes I think 110 its hot enough thank you... although I think tomorrow is supposed to be hotter.. we dont have a pool in the yard (yet) and the local pool didn't open for the year (not enough funds) the only choice is to go to the lake... I HATE going there with all 4 alone.. it goes up to 5' and my kids aren't that great of swimmers or that tall! Guess I'll bite the bullett and take them tomorrow anyway.. its 80* in my house with the a/c on.. its only a window unit..

Ugggh! Downstairs in our house it's 88F with the shades all down. Only the two upstairs bedrooms have AC. We're up in our room and the AC unit does not have enough BTU to cool it off like it should - even with a box fan trying to circulate the cool air :headache:

I checked Accu-weather for my town and it says that it's 100F with a real feal of 102 . That's too darn hot! We normally do not get this high for Long Island. Oh, and DH is making me feel even hotter since he's in black jeans and a navy colored t-shirt. Is he ?

Honestly, I'd love it if it got hotter. I think I'm one of the only people who'd like that. :teeth:
