Is It Harder

I booked our trip at 59 days out, for the last week of March. I can't get anything we want. We've secured some but no Ogas Cantina or Chef Mickeys or SciFi. I booked some things to have back ups. I'm really hoping I can get a Savi's workshop time.

Booking about a month out, availability is almost nonexistent, and not just for the top restaurants. We've been to WDW about 10 times in the past several years and I've never had such a hard time getting basic reservations. They really need to reopen more restaurants.

I’ve had a reservation finder on for a friend’s trip in March for breakfast at Topolino over a 5 day period. It’s been in the system for three weeks and nothing has come through for them yet.

I have planned this next trip with less than 3 weeks notice and have just been checking reservations daily for the places I want to go. While I still haven't scored Topolina's for breakfast, I was able to get a Cinderella's Royal Table, Oga's Cantina, California Grill, The Plaza, and Prime Time Cafe over the long weekend.

Also, it looks like they added dining availability to all the Table Service places in Magic Kingdom TODAY from the 6 PM to 7 PM time frame (even though they changed the park hours 1 1/2 weeks ago from 6 PM to 7 PM closing for the park).

That is the one I am doubtful about, to be honest - though I was able to get a dinner reservation there.

I just cancelled my subscription to Mouse Dining since I had the same experience with them... different restaurants but nothing ever showed. I had a half dozen broad request and didn't get a single notification... not one. I'm sure limited openings is a factor. I thought paying a reservation finder might help score some that I really wanted... but nope. I think it's that you can't get openings that aren't there.

We are just back from ten days and it was a never ending story of people trying to get into restaurants to eat without an ADR. I felt so sorry for the hostess at Chefs of France as she kept turning people away and some people were very unkind. I started looking at availability at 6:30-7:00pm and each night there was only 8-10 restaurants available. The problem was that they might be in another park, resort or DS so not convenient in the moment. This was true for our trip in January as well. I think WDW needs to open a few more restaurants especially for spring break.
