We'll be staying at All star Movies and I'm wondering if its hard to get to Ohana from there for dinner. Is it worth it to try to get a 2 year old on multiple buses? Or do we just drive? We'll have our car.

Are you going to MK at all? You might consider planning your ADR around that, since you can just hop on the monorail to get there. Otherwise, I"d just drive-everything is pretty close by.

This is what we did when we stayed at ASMovies. Easy as pie!

Well, we were planning our dinner at Chef Mickey's around our MK day. Hmmm, I guess I have a lot to think about! The good thing is DH said he wants to start planning with me! Maybe he can help me figure all these meals out.

It's not that bad to get there by Disney transportation, just take the bus to MK from your resort, then take either the monorail or boat over to the Poly.

Or, you could certainly drive and park at the Poly if you want to do this on a non-MK day. It's an easy 15-minute drive from the All-Stars.

I would just drive. It will be much quicker than taking the buses or monorail.

If you're going direct from ASMO to Poly, I recomend driving to save time, but if you decide to take WDW transportation, it's not too bad. Simply take the MK bus, then take the Resorts monorail around to Polynesian. Easy.

Once at Polynesian, finding 'Ohana is easy; it's on the upper level of the Great Ceremonial House (the main building). If you take the monorail, you walk into the building from the monorail station and cross to the opposite side of the lobby; 'Ohana is on the left. If you drive, you will come into the GCH from the parking lot directly under the monorail tracks. Walk to the opposite side of the lobby and take the stairs up to the second level.

As I said, I recommend driving, which will save you time both incoming and outgoing; once you're finished eating at 'Ohana, you'll be STUFFED and won't want to spend a lot of time standing around at the monorail and bus stations to get back to ASMO.

I would do this for the simple fact that it makes getting BACK to ASMo easier at the end of the night. We did O'hana on our MK day, and by the end of the night DS was so exhausted he was close to a meltdown. We just took a taxi back to ASMo rather than deal with the monorail and then buses...

Just take a bus to MK & take the Poly boat over...easy, peesy.

Driving=way easier.

Totally agree! We have driven the past few years when we've eaten there. All you need to do is show the guard at the gate your room key (KTTW) and tell him you have a reservation at O'hana. You can then park just steps away from the Poly. Once parked, you can explore the Poly, discover where the restaurant is, hop the monorail to MK, monorail to GF or CR to explore those resorts, or walk down to the Poly beach and watch the boats in the lagoon. If your 2 y-o is not too tired when it's time for fireworks, you can watch them from the Poly beach. (We did this in January for the first time and loved it.) Then just hop in your vehicle and drive back to your room with no waiting on monorails, buses, connections, etc.
