Is it hard to/ do you need to/ modify ADR's for dining plan

Just wondering if it is hard to (or if you even need to) modify your ADR's if you add the dining plan.

We are trying to decide whether or not to include the basic dining plan, counter service plan, or none at all for our early/mid March, 2013 trip. But we are really hoping for free dining to come out during that time. We want to make ADR's for any table service places we want ahead of time (~180 days). I know they ask you if you are on the dining plan. If we opt not to include it right now, will we have to notify them once we add it (if we get free dining later)?

Nope, doesn't matter one bit, for most cases.

The ONLY time it matters if you have a dining plan when booking is for the pre-paid events (CRT, HDDR, Luau, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ). And for those, it just makes the prepayment into a full-cost CC hold. (Which will get refunded at time of dining/ticket picking upping if you do add a dining plan and they're eligible for payment with them).

For the other ~70something dining things at Disney, it doesn't make a lick of difference if you have the dining plan when booking or not.

You can make ADR'S at 180 days with or with out dining they will ask if on property. then when you see FD you just call and switch reservations to the FD. dining will stay the same. If your not going to go to say some of the ADR'S then do need to cancel them or on some will be charged to your credit card
